Spacious and tastefully decorated bungalow in the middle of the forest. It is open air and you feel that you are outdoor all the time, which was a great feeling for us city people! The large deck is great to chill out after a busy day, or for breakfast and night BBQ.
Location when we booked was not clear and it is 25 minutes away from Cape tribulation - not a problem at all when you know it and we would have arranged our weekend differently as we ended up doing lots of back and forth. Also, the biggest advise I can give is BRING FOOD WITH YOU!!! There is nothing in the small shops around this part of the world! We could not even get meat to put on the barbie and all restaurants close the kitchen at 7pm!! We would have had a much nicer experience knowing it!
The house gives of the feel of a tree-house as it is set on poles and gives you lovely views over the treetops. It is very tastefully furnished, the kitchen is generously equipped, cooking is enjoyable. The Outdoor BBQ is great, too. The open structure living room and kitchen are huge, the red sofa very cosy. We stayed for three nights with our girls and enjoyed the sounds of the surrounding rain-forest. All is solar powered, and works fine.
The bathroom is lovely with the old-fashioned claw-footed bath tub.
One thing guests need to know: There are 2 bedrooms, but the walls do not go all the way up to the ceiling, so lights out for everybody at the same time.
