We went for an evening meal at Il Campasso on Saturday 12th August and it was sensational. A beautiful location with great sunset views and the friendliest hosts you can imagine. There was also more food than you can imagine: delicious antipasti followed by meat from the BBQ, all expertly prepared.
But our impression was only improved the following day when we realised we'd left a scarf at Il Campasso. When we dropped in to pick it up, the host insisted that we take a seat to enjoy some wine, focaccia, cheese and fiori di zucca fritti. All of this was offered free of charge by a host who delights in offering the warmest of welcomes.
I didn't catch his name but I would like to thank him sincerely for the best experience of the weekend. Incredible hospitality and a beautiful agriturismo.
