I have stayed here a couple of times, and will return in the future. Ripplewood is in beautiful location. The cabins are well appointed and very comfortable. If you want to get away in Big Sur, this is a great place to go.

Room Tip: The cabins closer to the river tend to be quieter.

Well I am a little biased because this place really resonates with me. This is the second time I have stayed at Ripplewood and it was as good this visit as the first. We drove down from Yosemite and stayed two nights at cabin #8 which has two bedrooms and is positioned right on the river. The location is, to my mind, idyllic. The amenities are more than comfortable given that you are, by definition, looking for a cabin in the woods abutting the PCH - otherwise you wouldn't be here. There's a gas station, grocery store and restaurant (breakfast and lunch only) on site. There are evening eateries a mile in each direction up and down highway 1 and world class viewing points over the Pacific within 30 minutes drive both north and south. The Henry Miller museum is nearby and you are en route to Hearst Castle if that is your thing (it's not mine). For me gazing out on the little babbling river with a good book and a bottle of something nice is one of the most tranquil experiences on earth. Apologies for the over enthusiasm but if this place does not hit the spot then you don't have a spot.

Room Tip: Check the website - it is very clear.

Due to the road closure the accommodation was very empty. Staff were helpful & the cabin well maintained and cost - perfectly in keeping with the location but could do with a little money spent on it to update it a little to make it perfect. A great spot to stay when traveling Highway 1

We had excellent stay at Ripplewood. We would definitely recommend this place to live in to others as well.
Few things, i would give feedback for:
1. Microwave
2. Cutlery needs to b changed
3. checkin time if possible could be 3:00pm or earlier

Ripplewood Resort is nestled in a gorgeous location. The steep incline getting down to our cabin was a hoot! The beds were so comfortable and rooms very clean. We could have used a better wine bottle opener. We wished we had been able to stay more one night. Our only disappointment was the close proximity that cabin #8 was to the tent campground across the creek. We didn’t feel like we had privacy on the charming back porch deck. Breakfast at the restaurant was very good!
