We went to the El Meco ruins Saturday morning around 9:30am and we were the only visitors there, which was great for us! The admission is 50 pesos ($2.65) for adults. Lots of shade and places to sit and enjoy the beautiful ruins. It's a quick trip from the resorts and very close to the ferry to Isla Mujeres.

Thank Joe C

We decided to go see this one Sunday morning. We had visited chichen itza a few days before. This place is lovely we were the only people there. The temple is surrounded by 3 plazas and in each is a stone tablet with information in English , Spanish and another language. This is only a small site and makes more sense of the overall concept of temple sites. Well worth the 50 pesos in.

We loved these Ruins. It was less touristy and off the beaten path. The grounds were nice and we enjoyed walking around. We parked across the street and walked in. The cost was low and they had clean restrooms. The giant lizards were basking in the sun. It was an enjoyable afternoon.

we were staying at villa del palmar resort and was looking for something to see that was close to the resort. i found this ruins sight on google maps. it was only a short taxi ride from the resort so we decided to try it. the first thing we saw was all these sweet Coatis! like a colony of them!. we were greeted by a very friendly lady who charged us about $5 usa to enter. it was a very hot day so we didnt stay long but it was a very interesting sight! well signed and nicely maintained. very worth your while if you are at that end of the hotel zone and cant make it to the other ruins.
