The Prachee's Lamb Madras is unbeatable and has been now for I think almost forty years, so good it is difficult to try new dishes.

I havnt been to The Prachee for almost 20 years & after last night I know why. Starters were OK, wine OK but both our curries were rubbish. Like a lot of Indian restaurants I reckon they make one big curry & then add bits to it. I had " Lamb" , didnt taste of anything , very tough . We both left most of our main course & they didnt even ask why ??? There were only six other people in. I dont know how they keep going. its a taxi to bardford next time.

This was by far my favourite restaurant and me and friends used to always visit for years. However, over these years I found that the nan breads became smaller, the salad that always came with meals stopped coming, charging £1 just for a little chilli, I just started to resent paying and travelling that far when I was getting better for my money in other indian restaurants.

I loved what it was and wish it would go back to it because its situated in such a lovely area and the staff are really lovely.

Whenever I visit my friend in Guiseley, I ask, "Where should we go to eat?" It is a pointless question because we always end up at the Prachee. Established in 1978 (it is written on the plates), my friend has been eating at this restaurant reguarly for the last 30 years, it is consistently excellent. The spices are distinguishable, all the food is cooked fresh to order, I cannot recommend this Indian restaurant enough, the food is just the best ever. I am never disappointed. The staff are very friendly and explain the menu and are very helpful. It has a warming atmosphere and contemporary environment. Great for parties and get togethers or just couples and friends, never rushed, just a lovely place to eat and relax.

Eaten at this restaurant many times as it seems to be the restaurant of choice for many of our after work get togethers. The restaurant itself is easy to find a stones throw away from what used to be Harry Ramsdens and is now Wetherby Wailer, pleasant low lights and fab loo's (which makes a change) The Manager or Owner keeps all the waiters in line and runs a tight ship...you cant mistake him, just look for the glossy white shoes. Every dish is served hot and comes relatively quickly, the only negative thing I have to say is that I ordered my main meal and it came but there wasnt any rice, aparantly you order that seperately but seems silly to me as you wouldnt have curry without the rice but maybe I didnt read the menu properly. Afterwards its a short stroll over the zebra crossing straight into the White Cross pub which always seems warm and welcoming with a good atmostphere.
