Being at the highest part of the village of Ghandruk, it afforded superb views of the mountains. The bedroom was simple but very adequate with lots of hot water even in the morning. The bar area was very cosy. The staff were very helpful.

Came here without knowing anything, turned out they needed a pre-book through their office in Kathmandu. But lucky me, probably because it was kinda the beginning of the season so the lodge was still quiet (HAHA!). So, I tried to make a direct booking through a phone call to Kathmandu. Made it. Indeed, the price is much much more expensive with the other lodge in Ghandruk. But if you think broadly and compare it with another country, I’d say the price is totally worth it. They pretty much have one of the best view point garden to South Annapurna and Machhpuchhre!

Staying in here, means you have a full package. They will take care of all of your meal. I, personally really like the breakfast and dinner (veg. momo and rice pudding). Lunch is so-so for me (fried rice and noodle soup) but they have kitkat, too!

And, you pretty much have the view of Annapurna right in front of your room in that big garden where you’ll have your breakfast with the puppies. You can stay there for the whole day, with a cup of ginger tea and just enjoying the moment.

Room is the most complete in the mountain village, probably. It is not big, you have two beds. Hot shower that works really well. Wifi also works well, nicely designed and functional room. They have jacket, hoodie, gloves, sandals for you. ANDDD... THEY HAVE A HOT WATER POCKET to keep you warm during your sleep. which is like the best invention ever.

Oh, and for you who are a drinker. The package also comes with an happy hour which means you can take it for the whole hour before dinner so that’s really worth it!

Thank you for the pleasure stay :)

This lodge has a great setting and offers the same facilities as many other similar lodges but where it was very disappointing was the food. Our meal was cold soup - cold because was on the table when we were called in to eat. The main course was six similarly cold vegetable momas and an inedible rice pudding. Now rice pudding is my favourite desert but think baby rice and you will be about right. Don't be misled by the Ker and Downey mark but look for better value and better food elsewhere. We had a 17 day trip to Nepal which also included the Everest base camp region and this was the worst lodge we stayed in.

Very hard trek up to the lodge but worth the pain. Great dining/community area around a big fireplace. Great service. Stick with vegetarian food. No wifi - or very intermittent but who needs it when you have this view!!

Lunch available on the lawn, early morning and afternoon tea/coffee.
