We had been travelling around France, Andorra and Spain for a while on our summer holiday and had tasted a range of cuisines that were delicious when we came to Gustus and this was by far the best food we had.
To start we had two types of freshly foraged mountain mushrooms, one with a poached egg and another with fois gras, as well as cheese with black truffle flakes. All of which were absolutely delicious. We could have eaten it all over again for a main and still been happy!
For the main course I had a large and perfectly cooked piece of turbot with a selection of vegetables which complimented the dish well. My partner ordered the pigs trotters (a local delicacy) with some trepidation, but when it came he loved it. Far from being the gelatinous meat that you think of, it was crispy and stuffed with duck confit. He was very impressed!
Despite the generous portion sizes we really wanted to try one of the deserts. So we chose the deep fried dough balls stuffed with pear and covered in a chocolate sauce; a lovely end to a great meal.
The staff were also incredibly helpful and attentive with perfect English. They talked us through each selection on the menu and made suggestions on the wine to pair with it.
10/10 would return if I come back to Andorra.
