Despite that the two tavernas in the place commit to call your attention, Taverna Amalia is a family place. The food is really good, homemade greek style, great price and great service.

We travel around the island without accommodation booked, so every night we stay in a different hostel, hotel...

Amalia tavera offers good price accommodation with air conditioned included!

We called in here for lunch during a trip along the west coast of Rhodes. The taverna competes with another across the village square and they try to get their customers by flagging down passing cars. Quite smooth watch. We only had gyros and a drink but it was freshly prepared and very tasty. Call in if you're passing through

We were driving around, seeing the island, and we came to a square where this old lady waved us in.. And we were hungry and thirsty so we parked our car outside the restaurant, and she ran over to the car, and showed us inside, and we were served something to drink almost incredibly fast. It was like that the entire time, even though there were plenty of other customers, they were always quick to help, or just to have a nice chat.
The food were not something to write home about, it was very average and it looked liked something i would cook on a normal Tuesday night.
But just because of the atmosphere and personel i would recommend this place :)

A family 'taverna' with very big and tasty portions. All the products are locally agriculture. The ratio quality of food and price is excellent. The service is really friendly and fast. After the completion of the lunch we had for free fresh tasty fruit(watermelon).i highly recommend to try the dish of fresh 'tsipoura'.
