Needed to accomodate three families and a dog for Wedding Anniversary and birthday celebration. This venue was ideal. Nice rooms (including a dog friendly one). Excellent food, well prepared, presented and served. And the use of the spa, including the swimming pool. But the icing on the cake has got to be the friendly, attentive and efficient staff they all made the celebratiion a massive success, nothing was too much trouble.

Room Tip: Executive rooms on the first floor overlooking the rose gardens - great

Good location, good parking facilities, nice garden, friendly and efficient check in
Rooms are nice and bright with all the amenities as well as a desk and lamp. Mattress on the bed really annoying as kept bouncing whenever my partner moved around.
The hotel needs renovating as you can hear all the creaks and movements from the floor above. There are radiator panels in each room but there’s no thermostat to control the room temperature, just the knob on the radiator
The gym is well equipped with many machines but all are old and need a good clean.
Breakfast is good and there are lots of staff around to serve you and take your cooked order. Can’t fault the staff at all. They have a vegetarian breakfast with halloumi, spinach and egg. If you don’t want burnt toast ask for it from the kitchen as the toaster has only one fixed setting and your brown bread comes out burnt. If you have to leave before breakfast they do a grab and go bag ( drink, fruit or muesli, sandwich) which you order the day before and then collect it in the morning.

Had lovely food looking out onto an old English garden.Good selection of reasonable priced wine. Staff very accommodating. I have stayed over night and found the rooms clean and comfortable. Nice country setting close to the city.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back over looking the garden are very quiet, but hotel is in a quiet area.

Stayed twice so far. Both occasions has been good value for money, but the second time was great. Just staying overnight, visiting family locally, but the room was vast, the bed was vast, the fittings very modern and looking recently refurbished. Slept very well (unusually for me)
Staff were very friendly and helpful on both occasions.
