A quiet spot for a family holiday. Great for the kids to ride bikes , go fishing and a short walk to the patrolled beach or the beach across the road is quiet safe on low tide. Local shops, pub & surf club nearby. Good size house with 3 large bedrooms but an extra lounge chair would have been good as there is only 1 which is a bit small for a house with up to 6 people. Also a microwave in the kitchen would be handy. There are games & books which can be used & 2 hammocks hanging on the verandah for relaxing.
We stayed in this lovely beach house and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house is on the esplanade opposite the beach access. We saw dolphins whilst walking along the beach which was absolutely incredible! The house is well presented and the decor is beautiful with all the beach house finishes. Highly recommend a stay here!
Travelling up from Melbourne to stay on Bribie Island for the weekend, I was not disappointed by this beach house. Perfectly positioned right across from the beach meant that we could sit on the front deck and enjoy nibbles and wine and the constant sea breeze or duck across for a swim whenever suited. The furnishings in the home are gorgeous and gave me an instant feeling of being home rather than in a beachfront hotel. Nothing has been overlooked to provide ease or comfort for the guests. It was the best location and price for our group of friends to come together for a weekend getaway. Each of us leaving feeling relaxed and more connected.
I am not one who usually writes reviews on here. I admit I have been guilty of taking advantage of everyone else's generous time taken to put in reviews but haven't found the time to do it myself. Instead I have used it to gain great suggestions and information when planning holidays and getaways.
This property provided absolutely everything we were looking for so felt I needed to make the time to review.
We were after a property that was on the beach, quiet, far enough away from the action that we could enjoy the quiet and the sound of the waves, but close enough that we could have a couple of cocktails and take a leisurely walk to restaurants and cafes for meals when eaten all of our cheese and nibbles.
The house was right on the beach so we spent most of our time on the chairs on the front porch sipping cocktails, chatting and watching the ocean. The rest was spent at the huge dining table chatting and dining as we could fit a everyone and everything we need around and on the table easily while still being being able to watch the ocean view.
The kitchen was fitted with everything we needed including plenty of crockery and glassware including platters for nibbles and a large selection of cocktail and wine glasses. They even had a small plunger and small peculator and provided a selection of instant coffee, espresso coffee, fruit and herbal teas so we could have a cuppa on arrival before we unpacked and got ourselves sorted. It was unexpected in a holiday rental and a pleasant surprise.
The bedrooms were lovely and felt fresh and comfortable.
The whole place was great as they had kept the beach house feel yet made it feel luxurious without striping it of it's character.
It was ideal for us as we aren't 20 anymore so weren't there to party at clubs so a small crammed hotel room or apartment wasn't going to work for us.
We needed a beach escape where we could accommodate 2 adults and 4 children which can be not only difficult but very expensive and you often have to forgo the location for room to move. This house suited us perfectly. I was surprised to find that it was not only spacious enough to easily accommodate us all but you actually could see the ocean from nearly every room.
I could cook the kids meals in the kitchen as they played happily in the open lounge room or front yard and i didn't feel as though i was missing out as i could see all the action of the kids as well as the ocean from the kitchen.
The constant sea breezes kept us cool and feeling like we were at the beach even when we were having a time out from the beach.
The beach is a 30 second walk across the road so we didn't have the usual drama of lugging a tonne of gear down to the beach whenever we went down as it was a quick dash back to the house to get anything as we needed it.
The house was decorated with canvases from the beach at Woorim so even when you weren't at the beach you felt like you still were.
The bedrooms were spacious and felt light and airy with quality linen and plenty of room so 6 people didn't feel cramped.
As well as the usual TV there was board games and books to read so on the one day we had overcast weather we still kept ourselves entertained.
The kids particularly enjoyed the bocce on the front lawn which suited us as we could have a glass of wine and watch the ocean as well as the kids in the hammocks out on the front porch.
The area the house is located is the more quiet part of the beach at Woorim, yet only about a 5 minute stroll to the surf club and the flags if you prefer to swim in the flags. It felt like we were a million miles away from the crowds, yet a 5 minute walk along the beachfront pathway to the cafes, restaurants and surf club.
We will definitely be returning.
