We have been to Rippon Lea previously to see the amazing costume exhibitions they've held and loved it every time. We decided to go back yesterday to see the beautiful mansion now that the exhibition was over and take a guided tour. So glad we did! The guide was very knowledgeable and passionate and you hear all about the extensive history of the building and the people who lived there. It was really enjoyable.
We also went to the tea rooms in the Gatehouse to have a light lunch and some tea. It's just been refurbished inside and looks so lovely and fresh! I would recommend it to anyone feeling a little peckish. They had sandwiches, baguettes, slices and sweets. Quite reasonable prices too.
Will definitely be going back more now that Spring is here.
