Really enjoyed my time here. The locals were friendly and pricing not bad at all. If you want to spend some time away from the fast paced patong, this is where you wana be. It's about a 30 minute drive from Patong.

The old town Phuket is famous for its lovely buildings in vibrant pastel colours and the various shops lining the streets.

We travelled by foot which is by far the best way to discovery this area. Clicked many photographs with the distinct styled buildings in the background.

Can easily spend a couple of hours in this part

Yesterday we visited the Old Town of Phuket with my wife and it was ok. You can find local shops, cafe’s and restaurants but it was nothing special. Taxi drivers take advantage of tourists charging very high prices so be aware of this so you don’t get abused.

We got off the blue bus from and a tuk tuk person came up to us to show what he could show us around town for 150 B so we thought ok cool
We went to the look out and then a budda, then it start we take you to places 3 in total
they get tokens from these places for bring people to buy
The last place was his "friends shop" that is 50 % off, we thought wow ok this will be good so we went. My wife brought table place mats the night before at a night market for 270 B and we asked how much in this shop …. they said 450 B so I said so that is 225 B then ? 50 % off nope that was the so called 50% off I just walked out
paid the tuk tuk driver his 150B and thought there was another bad deal in Phuket

If your in Phuket take the time to go out here and have a look. The buildings are quaint and you can get some great pictures. We stumbled along a row of pastel coloured buildings which you don’t normally see. The side streets have some cool graphics and little shops to look through. A nice way to spend a few hours.
