First of all i have to say that i'm italian and spoil and picky about food. The food quality is absolutely outstanding starting from "mise en buche" to desserts. The service is 5 star or more and the two owners are always helpful and attentive to any needs.
Price is very low considering food and service's quality.
The only negative point is that you have to bring your own wine because they don't have the licence to sell wine.
We slept there in the beautyfull garden room and we had a perfect staying. The morning breakfast is unforgettable: fois gras, a perfectly cooked cheese omelette, homemade marmelade, board of local cheeses with dry fruit, big plate of fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, and hot drinks.
What can you ask more?

Thank luca p

Five minutes from La Mauricie National Park entrance, this small B&B has a fine dining restaurant that you would not expect in a so small and remote village. A ranger suggested us to try it when we asked how far was Le trois rivieres ( for having dinner). His words were " don't be fooled by the simle exterior. That place is actually a real fine dining place". We love and know well the French cuisine and we enjoyed their food, the incredible dining room, the attention to details. Be ready to bring your own bottle of wine (you can buy also late in the evening right next door in a grocery store with a decent selection of French, Italian, and American wines). They will open, serve in great glasses and not charge you even a cork fee. Everything we ordered with their "table d'hote" was perfect. Foie gras de canard, jarret de veau, terrine, sorbet. Menu changes monthly but I am confident that the quality stays the same. So reserve ( cozy but small place) and take the opportunity to delight your palate in a real small gem.

This is a B&B and a restaurant in a very small village near the Mauricie Park. Everything is done by the lovely owners, Eric and François. We have spend nights there for the third time in the last year. Everything is as you may expect it, clean, wonderful. The restaurant is a five star one, again excellent food and excellent service. It is a real pleasure to be there...both owners will do everything to make you feel confortable.

Went back again, and still loving it. Every single mouthful -- from the appetizer, soup, main course through to dessert (and what desserts!) -- offers an explosion of taste. Everything is home-made with passion and skill. Delectable! There were four in our party, and all agreed: Les Goglus is truly a gastronomic delight. Make reservations because it's a small space, featuring quaint, eclectic décor.

This is not what you normally expect from small town restaurant. But it is very positive! We were invited by friends who live in the area and had been there before. It`s very cozy, the food and service were very good. We had different entrees from "La Table d`hote" and they were all very good. Make reservations though, it`s busy place but worth it!
