My husband and I took a relatively "unplugged" vacation to Round Hill in August. The resort and the staff are charming. The food, though a bit expensive, was quite good. We were there during the off season so there were not very many guests there and we enjoyed the quiet privacy.

The resort has a classic, classy vibe that you would associate with celebrities of the past. From the photos on the walls of the bar, many celebrities actually did stay there regularly. It is definitely an "old money, " white dinner jacket and vodka martini kind of place. The staff knows just how much to "wait on you" without being pesky.

Most importantly, my husband miraculously slept through the night the entire time we were there. He hasn't done that in literally years.

We plan to go back to Round Hill next spring.

I highly recommend.

Probably one of the classiest properties in Jamaica, Round Hill been a hot spot for celebs for more than 60 years. You can certainly imagine Pierce Brosnan hanging out at the bar here. I loved the decor (everything is designed by Ralph Lauren) and despite the age of the resort, it is very well maintained. The hotel is made up of villas which are separate from the bar and main dining areas. The rooms are spacious with great views of the beach and pool. I loved the infinity pool and there are plenty of places to relax if you need to escape a rain shower. Every afternoon they have a complimentary British style afternoon tea - great cucumber sandwiches! The coffee is great, of course it is Blue Mountain coffee. The restaurant has a farm-to-table focus. Food is expensive for what it is, especially breakfast, but the quality is a lot better than we expected. The resort is great for couples and families.

My husband and I spent our 10 year anniversary at the Round Hill in July. Since it was during the off season the resort was fairly quiet. The staff was great and accommodating and even got us tickets to SumFest at our request. I am a vegetarian and upon arrival I was given the names of the chefs. When we arrived for dinner later that night after we were seated we were greeted by the chef and the owner. We stayed in cottage 13. The staff was superb and the food was great. My husband and I can't wait to go back! Thanks for a memorable vacation.

We stayed at Villa 9 during our visit. The Villa staff Janet, Jimmy, Pam and Garfield are superb. The villa has three outdoor showers, one outdoor tub, a fantastic (always warm) pool and perfect beds. The dining room is playfully decorated as a painted tent theme. Throughout the villa there are giraffe and alligator carved benches. The tree house is a gem for adults and children. Situated at the top of the resort the villa offers a spectacular view. The Round Hill dining experience continues to impress. Omar (executive sous chef) and Clive (Pastry, dessert chef) are very good. Particularly good was the farm to table menu using locally grown organic ingredients. Clive made an excellent cake specially ordered for an anniversary dinner. Round Hill staff offered excellent service as always. We owe a debt of gratitude in particular to hotel managers Ostley, Omar and Michael Fitzgerald Stevenson who helped with an emergency medical situation. We can't wait to return to paradise!

Wow, what an amazing place. It is almost like stepping back in time. It was old world charm with all of today's modern conveniences.

We stayed in Cottage 2, we had nine people in our party and Cottage 2 was perfect and didn't even feel crowded. The daily breakfast served on our patio was one of the highlights of the trip.

The kids' club was great, the kids' especially loved making tie dye t-shirts and $5 a shirt was totally reasonable, especially on vacation.

The water sports team was great, we went on a great snorkeling adventure over in Montego Bay and the guys taught us so much about the local reefs and ocean life.

The pool is small but it never seemed that crowded. The spa was nice as was the fitness area at the spa.

The bartenders were great and were always meeting the needs of our multigenerational crowd.

We all want to go back ,we just aren't sure we can afford it again so soon.
