Our stay was bound to be memorable from the moment we made the booking with Bakti. She made us feel as though we were long lost friends even before we met. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a cup of ice cold tea, that was certainly welcomed by all. Porters took our bags to our room as we learnt about the area and facilities available during our stay. Babun greeted us each morning and was always available to talk with our driver about the day's events. We wanted to photograph the amazing street art of Jogjakarta and Babun provided our driver with a list of addresses where we would find the best examples in the area. Breakfast was substantial and dinner was not only authentically Indonesian but full of flavour, with ingredients sourced from the garden of Yabbikayu. Our family stayed in two bungalows and both were well appointed. Bottled water is provided as are essential bathroom supplies. If you are staying in Bungalow 5, I do recommend closing the bedroom door to the outside elements. We left early one morning to see Borobudur at sunrise and Babun organised for our driver to collect a take a way breakfast from the eco-lodge before we set off. This was a lovely touch. It was so lovely sitting on our verandah watching the nightlife especially the fireflies and listening to the frogs sing their merry songs.
