We stayed in this hotel from the 2 November for 5 nights and we are delighted to recommend it. All the staff were always very pleasant particularly the younger staff who are very knowledgeable and helpful. We stayed on a B&B basis and were delighted as the food is very good indeed with a wide choice each morning. The room was spotlessly clean, whilst we did not have a bay view it in no way spoiled our stay. we had only planned to stay 4 nights however we were charmed so much by the place we stayed an extra night, we did eat from set menu upon the Saturday night when the restaurant was jammed and we found it on a par with most eateries on the bay front,
As a tip on where to ea out the Moby Dick is a noteable exception to the culinary standards in Xlendi, stay at home and do'nt bother experiencing this mediocrity.
If you wish to have a memorable night do'nt miss the Boathouse Eaterie during the week when the food was generous and outstanding in quality and service, from our experience on two different nights, there appears to be a different and much more rushed atmosphere upon weekend nights when the place was packed so " diner beware " and choose your night carefully.

In conclusion stay as long as you can at the San Andrea Hotel or you will be sorry you missed the experience.P & O Ireland

We stayed in this hotel recently and had a fabulous time. The staff were always very pleasant and helpful, despite our (delayed) arrival time of 3am. We stayed on a half board basis and were delighted that we had chosen this as the food is very good indeed with a wide choice for each course. The room was spotlessly clean and the sheets were changed after 3 days.Rooms are different sizes but ours (405) had 2 balconies (front and side),twin beds and plenty of room to move round in. Breakfast was good and plantiful and we hardly needed to eat anything else until the evening. There is a computer for use free of charge on the top floor which was useful to us. Gozo is well worth seeing. We walked 65 miles in the week and really enjoyed exploring the island. The only thing to be aware of is that there is no supermarket in Xlendi (nearest one is about a mile away) and the tap water is OK to drink but is brownish and not very palatable. The local bars sold bottled water at reasonable rates. Hotel location is superb and the views over the bay at sunset were great. The hotel offers use of tea/coffee making facilites and a fridge if wanted.

Room Tip: Looking at the fire plan, room numbers ending in 5 seem to be the biggest and numbers ending in 2 the smallest. Definitely worth paying for a sea view.

We stayed here in early October for our honeymoon. The Hotel is well worth its three star status, clean rooms and bathroom. Excellent air conditioning, free safe facility, free wifi and internet access. The staff were all lovely and the breakfast although only a buffet was lovely, fresh and plentiful. The location of the hotel is wonderful with only approx 20ft between the hotel door and the sea. I would recommend that you book a sea view room as the view of Xlendi Bay is beautiful and the sound of the sea and the views of the sunset made our honeymoon extra romantic.

Room Tip: Ensure you ask for a sea view room, as all others overlook a road.

We stayed in Room 406, which was is a sea-view room with balcony from the 16th-30th September 2012.The hotel is exceptionally convenient for St Andrews Divers Cove Dive Centre which is facing the main entrance of the hotel, and across the road. The room was kept exceptionally clean by the hotel staff throughout our stay, and my Brother had dropped some Euro coins by accident in the room. These were found by the cleaning staff, who left them on the corner of his bed-What honesty! The room was a little on the small side, with a double wardrobe (which house a GoMalta Freeview TV and Set-Top Box, Combination Safe for valuables) and the twin beds taking the majority of the floor space. As soon as your cases and dive bags were unpacked and stowed, it was perfectly sufficient for our holiday needs. The hotel does offer the use of a fridge and tea/coffee facilities for an extra charge. The food and the service in the Hotel's Zafiro Restaurant is absolutely first class, and residents have a daily discounted set menu. There is free Wi-Fi available using an encrypted link-so more secure, and an internet terminal available for residents to use in the Guest's Lounge situated on the top floor. Officially this is a 3 Star Hotel, but the staff provide a 5 Star service. Absolutely excellent and would thoroughly recommend this Hotel!
