We visited Jiva Veg today in return from Umium lake to Guwahati.
It was raining badly, we were hungry and we saw this place.
We decided to have our lunch here.
Nice Ambience.
Most important very courteous staff.
Person incharge was himself taking care of all the guests, despite so much of crowd around and heavy downpour.
Food was all fresh and great in taste.
We ordered Jiva spl biryani - 4/5*, Tawa Sabzi-5/5*, Kali Dal Tadka-5/5* and drinks- Allrounder-5/5*, Mint juice-5/5*.

This hotel is on the highway to shillong from Guwahatti. As I am vegan, this is the best option for me. This hotel is pure veg. and they are having lots of veg. options. Service is so quick, very clean, staff is so good. Toilets are clean and neat, with flower arrangement.

Food is fine here, and service is good. Although it's owned by the same people as Jiva Resort, we found the food not nearly as good. But still very tasty and worth stopping for healthy vegetarian food.

Dosa is one my favourite foods and although it ranks 49 out 50 in world’s delicious food by CNN, in my personal ranking it perhaps will be in the first 10. So when I get a good masala dosa with a delicious bowl of sambar, I am Happy. Java’s Dosa did just that to me. The ambience is great but the staff could be a little more helpful and smiling. Overall very good.

If you're on your way to Shillong from Guwahati you might want to give this pleasant restaurant a shot. Also it;s the only good option on the way. They serve a wide variety of Indian menu although the soup was disappointing the chinese food we ordered was good and tasty. In my experience when you're in NE, give North Indian foods a miss however tempting it is. Stick to Chinese or the local north eastern fare
