Serene, peaceful, calm. Better go during the day while the chapels, shops and all other places are open for the public. True that it is open 24h a day but we can just walk around, collect water and experience the outside places at night time. Super special place where you can you "Plunge your hands into the water". It has something different around. Even if you don't believe in any faith or religious, it is still an interesting place to visit. Well located but more accessible for cars. Jerrycans - for your blessed water - can be found at the location while the shops are open. Shops are not so many but have many itens being sold. Books are mainly in french and dutch as well as the instructions at the locality. Few language options for reading. It has a beautiful art around the images too.

The Holy Spirit is "sent into our hearts" (Galatians 4:6)so that we might receive new life as sons of God.
I really felt united the Most Holy Trinity at Shrine of Our Lady. This place is huge. Also it's pet friendly. My dog also really enjoyed walking around.

Totally came across this grotto by chance. Was told the story of the visitation by the Virgin Mary from a helpful lady at the gift shop as the information centre closes between 1200 and 1400. The chapels are beautiful, serene and contemplative. The well itself with the statue of Mary gives you goose bumps. Beautiful and reflective. Taps are available to take the Holy Water home or you can buy bottles from the gift shop. Restaurants and cafés are also located in the near locale to feed the faithful.

Drove from Brussels to Banneux. We arrived around 7pm. Sun was still up but Bel-Art, the shop selling religious items, was already closing when we got there. There were a number of people of different races who were obviously believers of the Catholic faith and the Mother of the Poor. Most of them, including myself, took some water from the spring. You should bring your own container or you can just buy from Bel-Art. The place was well kept.
