We stayed here for 5 days and love it. The staff were fantastic and add so much to the experience. The cabin was warm and the bed comfortable. We had all our meals included, the food was home cooked and tasty. We spent a night in the camp under the northern light which is an experience we will never forget. Beautiful place, great people and good food, what more could you need.

Remote, quiet and beautiful location at the top of the world. Super friendly staff, lovely food and comfortable lodgings. Great place to use as a basecamp while exploring this corner of Finmark, even got to see the Northern Lights from the guest house's camp in the woods. Would come back at the drop of a hat!

This place really should be better known as it is a very special place run by very kind, caring people. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Not hugely luxurious, but there is no need for luxury when you are surrounded by such beauty and quiet. There is everything you need. There are fantastic wild wilderness walks on the doorstep and the curiosity of the Russian/Norwegian crossing point ten minutes walk away. We had a very special, albeit rather expensive dinner at the attached restaurant one night. Well worth the treat! Would love to go back to experience it at different times of year.

We decided to try this place for our business meeting and it was a very nice surprise. Surrounded by a lake and nature in autumn colours just next to the Russian border made the stay a bit out of the ordinary. Friendly and service-minded staff also made the stay nice. The rooms are not so big but wasn't a problem as the experience is so much different from staying at a hotel in the city. There is a common area with kitchen and TV where you can socialize with others staying in the house. Wi-Fi was strong and available. Breakfast and lunch was very good and if you need it, they have meeting rooms for larger groups.
We arrived late in the evening, and were welcomed at the airport of their service van. Our driver was a great guy, really knowledgeable about the area. On the 10-minute drive to Solia we saw our first two reindeer!
At Solia we were welcomed by the sweetest girl who quickly got us settled into our cabin. The cabin was spacious even though the bedrooms were small. But, it was great for our teenager to have his own room :)
The cabin was well equipped, and we didn't lack a thing. The wireless was also great, even be far from the main building.
We did an evening stroll by the beautiful lake and went over to the small restaurant nearby. That was closed, unfortunately, but that was expected at 10pm. Glad we remembered to bring something for the mosquitos, they checked us out but quickly left :)
The breakfast next morning was what we expected on a small Norwegian hotel. We missed having scrambled eggs, but the sweet receptionist/chef made it up to us by constantly bringing us freshly cooked crispy bacon and perfectly cooked eggs.
Would normally rate a hotel like this a 3, but a great cabin, fun driver and the sweet receptionist/chef made it a 4. We just love when people obviously care about their guests!
