Didn't take long to get around the small suite and the museum. I suppoise having been to much larger Roman sites around the world it did seem quite basiuc . it was useful in demonstrating how the romans occupied portugal

A small museum showing artifacts found on this site consisting of the ruins of a roman vila and other building. You can see a mosaic floor and walk freely around the site which has notices giving information in Portuguese and English. The entrance fee is 3€ for an adult and concessions are available - I would allow about an hour to look around.

We had a walk to Cerro da Vila from the marina as we had seen it on here (trip advisor) . It is only a small area but it was interesting to see the layout of the Vila and also to see some of the items they have found. At only 3 euros entry it was a nice way to spend and hour .

Never knew about Cerro da Vila before but went during our visit in March 2018. For 3 euros it is excellent value and it is easy accessible from Vilamoura Marina.

I always like to visit Roman antiquities and this was one of the poorest developed. At €3 per person it is inexpensive, but you have to pay cash. The leaflet shows a recommeded route, but all the places shown are not available and some signs have fallen off or are discoloured. The signs are in Portuguese and English, but there was no guidebook to purchase.

Some of the walking route is on grass and other parts on stoney ground. It would be difficult for those with wheelchairs or pushchairs.

The museum is limited with only a partial story of the site and some exhibits on loan elsewhere.

You could allow between 30 minutes and an hour to visit the whole site. The toilets were good. There is no shop and nothing to purchase as a momento of the visit.

I have been impressed by much of Vilamoura, but not Cerro da Villa.
