The old village of Vilamoura is a bit of a misnomer since nothing is old. Surprised us a bit but nevertheless the area is beautiful with super villas and facilities.
We found the O Cafe after searching for somewhere to eat on a Sunday mid afternoon
Not a wow from the outside but friendly and offered a
Full English to a proper British Sunday lunch. Magic.

Food was perfect (l had Sunday Lunch)... my wife had Swordfish which she said was excellent.

We are here a further 2 weeks & will certainly visit again.
Well done

Thank Steve D

Ok, so first impressions of this place are not that great, but don’t let that put you off.

The outdoor furniture isn’t that appealing, your standard Restaurant Café kind of chairs & tables which are all a bit close together. Like-wise the random Children’s sit on machines & the 250+ dishes on the menu are also a bit weird. But if you can cut through that & accept that inside of the pub/restaurant is probably the darkest place you have ever been too it’s well worth a visit.

The food is reasonably priced, if on the cheap side, the quality is actually pretty good too. Not your 5-star food, but certainly above the 2 star prices. They also do some good happy hour deals on drinks between 3 & 7pm.

All in all, I would recommend, not for a fine dining experience but certainly for a spot of lunch or cheap evening meal or even to take in a Football Match in a non-boisterous atmosphere

Lovely people beautiful views on the Marina fantastic food the weather couldn't have been better such a shame the holiday was spoilt by the standard of our apartment and the lack of any cleaning or change of bedding and towels in the week we stayed

We enjoyed a pleasant evening meal in this restaurant situated in the Old Village.
I enjoyed a gammon steak with egg and chips, quite tasty meal but the portion size dictated that it should have been listed as a gammon rather rather than a steak by UK standards that is. My wife enjoyed her favourite meal of Baked salmon, potatoes with a delicious sauce.
Happy hour prices were in force with Super Boc beer at half price.
We sat outside under the awning and enjoyed the ambience of this delightful old village.
Service was good and we returned again later in the week for another meal.

We have eaten here 4 times, once in the evening and three at lunchtime and will probably have lunch here again as we are staying in the Old Village. The staff are helpful and very friendly. We are light eaters and I am a fussy eater! They are very happy for us to share a main course between the two of us bringing extra plates. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. We've had a mixture of different things from the menu - tuna salad, calamari, piri piri chicken (which was the best we've had during our stay) and the Portuguese steak - all have been very good.
