3 nights in a beautiful, dark, quiet, large room. There are screens on the windows!!! Ana was friendly, helpful and made the best omelettes. Besides breakfast, we enjoyed dinner one night. My husband enjoyed his red tuna but I was lucky to have rabbit cooked in red wine vinegar. Ana also served us a plate of fresh tomatoes, lightly dressed and served with tomato sorbet. Delicious! House is very close to town with shops and restaurants. 2 great day trips: San Juan de Pena Monastery and Castillo de Loarre. I would highly recommend Barosse.

This hotel was the first stop for us on a two week motorcycle tour. The hotel was easy to find and is on a small urbanization just outside of the main town.
We were buzzed in via intercom and welcomed by Jose, the hotel's proprietor. He welcomed us and showed us to our room and then took us on a little tour of the downstairs where we were shown a private lounge area, patio, dining room, kitchen and bar. The kitchen was well stocked with wines, local hand made beers and a small selection of snacks, all done on a honesty bar basis.
There was a huge selection of teas and coffees which were all free.
Jose gave us a map, local information and taxi numbers etc.

Our room was a double Pozo room which was just breath-taking. Pics do not do this hotel justice.

It is so peaceful - the silence is unbelievable. There is no traffic noise or any noise at all really!

Breakfast is offered and was included in our room rate. The dining room is one large table where guests can sit and chat. Jose had laid out a fabulous selection of fruits, cereals, croissants, home made tortilla, home made orange cake. He then offered us scrambled eggs, a selection of Spanish hams and cheeses and freshly made orange juice. We ate far too much as it was just delicious!

We attempted to call a taxi in the evening to take us into town but this proved too difficult to get through to the taxi controller, even with a knowledge of Spanish.
Jose called them for us and agreed it was proving difficult so took us into town himself and gave us his number to call him when we were ready to come home. He wouldn't accept any money from us for this - it's not often you find such hospitality and we couldn't thank him enough.

Breakfast was great chatting to the other guests. There were just six of us for breakfast and it was really nice and informal.

I really can't rate this hotel highly enough and will definitely be staying here again if we go through Jaca again at any point. Thank you Jose! A true gent!

The Barosse was a vacation from our vacation - we splurged on the Ermita guest house, and it was worth it. Every little detail was thought of and taken care of completely. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower/bathroom area was luxurious. We didn't use the common areas much, but they too were wonderfully done.

The town itself was nice to walk around, and parking is easy. The town is small, but wonderfully kept up/restored. It is very close to Jaca, and we received some great recommendations for dinner and sites. The San Juan de la Pena monastery is a must see in the area, as is the Jaca citadel and cathedral, and the Castillo de Loarre.

I wish we could have stayed another night!

Room Tip: Ermita is a small, beautiful guest house separated from the main space by the garden

We stayed here for four nights. The other reviews sum it up, it is lovely. It is very peaceful and the rooms are good and so clean. The bathroom was spacious and the shower excellent. There is coffee and tea available all day. We enjoyed the excellent breakfasts and had dinner there one night which was also very good. As said by other reviewers the attention to detail is really good. The breakfast is laid out beautifully. On our last morning we had to leave early and a breakfast was left out for us. Nothing was too much trouble which meant we really enjoyed our stay. Whilst Jaca is a few minutes away by car it is easy to get there and we enjoyed wandering around the town and then escaping back to the peace and quiet of the hotel.

We stayed with Jossé and Gustavo for one night, last year, during a road trip across the Pyrenees, and loved their amazing hotel and hospitality so much, we returned this year for four nights! The Hotel Barosse is situated in a tiny hamlet about 4km outside Jaca. As soon as you enter the garden, through a wrought iron gate and smell the incredible perfume from numerous jasmine bushes, you know you have found somewhere special!
The hotel has five bedrooms, all beautiful, and tastefully furnished. We have stayed in Ermita, a wonderful building in the garden, on both occasions. Ermita has an amazing en suite bathroom with monsoon shower and all rooms have L'Occitane products for guests' use.

Guests eat in a communal dining room, again beautifully furnished, with a wood burning stove for use in winter. The breakfasts are sublime! The table groans under the weight of home baked cake and croissants, cheeses, meats, fruit and cereals. Fresh orange juice is squeezed to order, and cooked breakfasts of every kind, are on offer too! Jossé will cook evening meals if guests require them. From personal experience, we can very highly recommend his cooking!

The Hotel Barosse is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful region of Aragon and Huesca, and Jossé is a mine of information on the most beautiful places to visit. We were spellbound by some of the amazing scenery on offer, on and off the beaten track, and there are numerous hiking trails in the mountains for every kind of walker, from ambler, to serious trekker.

We cannot recommend the Hotel Barosse and it's lovely, welcoming and very knowledgable owners, Jossé and Gustavo, highly enough. This place deserves every bit of the high praise it gets, and we cannot wait to go back!

Room Tip: All rooms are fabulous, but Ermita is very special!
