Look no further …this is the place!

We had a lovely time in Barrossa. The place is beautiful and the attention to details is exceptional. After long walks in the mountains, it is great to return to this lovely place.

We decided to go for peace and quiet instead of staying in the town of Jaca and had one night at this hotel. It is very stylishly done and all with top quality materials. We had a lovely room on two floors with stunning views out to the Pyrenees beyond. Josse the owner was away and his friend Ana was in charge - a very lovely lady who ensured our stay was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Highly recommended.

This small charming hotel is in the Baros suburb outside of Jaca. The host is a lovely gentleman who clearly enjoys his role - welcoming and articulate. He provided advice on where to visit during our short 2 night stay, which we followed to the letter. Particular places we enjoyed were San Juan de La Pena, the Valle de Hecho and Castillo de Loarre. The scenery is spectacular.
We stayed in the Herreria room, which is very stylish and beautifully finished - as is the rest of the house which has a feel of serenity with subdued lighting and scented candles. The breakfast is lovingly presented with fresh produce. We didn't use the hot tub and sauna area, but it looks good.
The hotel is set in the foothills of the Pyrenees, and as other reviewers have said, you do need a car to get to restaurants in Jaca. (5 mins drive) That said, we enjoyed strolling round the town and there were lots of places to eat. I would strongly suggest that you take your host's advice. The recommended Tapas bar for lunch and restaurant at night were very good. I described the location as a suburb, but Baros is very much an up-market residential community in a rural location. The surrounding houses look beautifully maintained, and even the sheep that change pastures regularly - blocking the road - are well behaved. Hotel Barosse lives up to its description. It was lovely.

Just five minutes from Jaca in an easy to access suburb. Jose is the ultimate innkeeper paying attention to every detail to make your stay perfect. This includes a wonderful, comfortable room (stay in the cottage it is awesome), travel planning, best breakfast with the freshest items, including fresh backed croissants baked on the premises, and a wood burning fireplace that is cleaned daily. A personalized dinner is also available, very reasonably priced

Room Tip: Cottage is very nice, with Jacuzzi tub, fireplace and comfortable bed

First each of the 9 (I think) rooms is different. Ours was beautiful, uniquely appointed with a red theme that really worked. The breakfast was cooked by the proprietor and was also excellent. It is a little out of the way so you need a car to get to and fro, but well worth the effort. The private spa was also fabulous.
