This place was recommended in Lonely Planet but in fact there was nothing very special about it. The tapas were average at best, ending with a very chewy piece of meat and some uninspiring chips. Service was fine and quite fast but there was a real problem with flies outside on the terrace, maybe because it's right next to the market.

A bar/restaurant that is dedicated to bullfighting. Strange place for a vegetarian to find themselves in! Nevertheless, the newspaper clippings that cover many decades and adorn the walls are interesting, though I can't say that I enjoyed the stuffed bulls heads very much. Outside there is a large terrace/restaurant. Inside it is a small warren of little seating areas. Didn't eat here, but it was ok to have a drink, the staff were friendly enough.

Awful steak - inedible. Fawning waiter who became a nuisance. Dirty toilets. The outside terrace looked inviting but go elsewhere.

We enjoyed our lunch here. It was good value, with a reasonably priced menu del dia and good sized portions. The staff were busy, but we were served in a reasonable time. For starters we had a lentil dish and a dish of white beans, both very traditional Spanish dishes and ones we've tried before. Both were very tasty, especially the lentil dish.

For mains, we had homemade meatballs and sole in a tomato sauce. My husband enjoyed his sole and my meatballs were really great, especially after the disappointment of the homemade croquettes in Badajoz the previous day.

Desserts were arroz con leche and flan, with coffee afterwards. The desserts were very nice indeed.

We were glad that we came here and enjoyed the meal very much. We sat outside under the covered area and although it was hot, we were quite cool in the shade.
