We stayed for one night in this fabulous hotel in the centre of Caceres and the experience was absolutely first class. The hotel offers tremendously good value accommodation and a wonderful view of the Unesco world heritage old town in this very central part of Spain. The well designed modern hotel has retained a charm in keeping with it's location and provided a spacious room overlooking a side street which despite my misgivings, was not all noisy. The buffet breakfast in the morning was of a high standard with a good choice of fruit, meats, cheese etc . Overall we were delighted with our stay at the hotel, thought it offered excellent service at really good value and we would definitely return for a longer stay and the opportunity to see much more of this very attractive part of Spain.

Optimal location in a beautiful setting, very friendly and helpful staff, and a wonderful city. What more could one ask for? Cáceres is also a great base for exploration to nearby cities such as Trujillo, Guadalupe, and Mérida. We stayed here for three nights and I would return in a heartbeat. Before our stay my communications with the hotel via e-mail were answered promptly. Our room was clean and very nice. The staff went far beyond any expectation to help us. One night I thought I had lost my charger to my cell phone, and it was past 8pm when the shops close. I asked the hotel staff if they had any suggestions as to what I might do. The clerk disappeared for a moment only to return with a box full of cell phone chargers!!! We found one that worked in a couple of minutes. Her husband apparently works for one of the local phone companies, so she had a box of extra chargers on her desk for folks like me who had lost their own. One night I was trying to purchase RENFE tickets on the web, and the website would not accept my credit card. The clerk that evening even tried as well, then after he failed, called RENFE for me to inquire about information and specifics. My thanks to all at Hotel Casa Don Fernando for their kindness during our stay.

Although we have stayed only in one hotel in Caceres, Casa Don Fernando, it is hard to believe that there could be a better one considering location and value for money. A friendly staff, new spacy rooms and a good buffet breakfast. It is located at the Plaza Mayor, with a view on the great Ciudad Monumental (a Unesco World Heritage Site). The Plaza Mayor is beautiful and you can have tapas on the square untill very late in the evening, a few meters from your hotel. The only weak point of the hotel is that it has no own parking facilities. You have to park your car in the nearby parking garage at the Plaza Obispo Calarza, about 250m from the Plaza Mayor. When you have a lot of luggage you better check in first and then park the car. You get a rebate at the Obispo garage when you pay at the hotel. Parking costs are then 9 euro per night.

Newly renovated in an historic building. Typical style but also modern. Large room and very large modern bathroom. Everything was perfect. It is located in front of the historic city center and the Plaza Mayor, which is good for shopping and having lunch/dinner. Nevertheless, it is quiet. Our bicycles were kept safely at the reception.

Wheel in shower, very big bathroom. Disabled Parking bay is a little walk away. Easy gerenal wheelchair access around the newer part of town however if cobbled stones are difficult for you than avoid the very old areas! Brillient hotel . Our room had great view onto plaza
