We have visited this restaurant several times and the food is always of a high quality and beautifully presented. It is a Grampelhuber family run concern opposite Halstattsee. The local Hallstatt Bier should be tried. Looks like a cloudy wheat beer but has more of a taste of a lager beer. Other beers are available as well such as Gosser. The food is varied and the menu is always different. Last time I tried a dish accompanied by a potato and spinach side-dish which was divine. Steak nights and special fish nights are good and the deserts are really as good as they look. Service is very good even during busy periods. Fairly large outside eating area in summer, conservatory area and main restaurant surrounded by all sorts of tasteful domestic antique items.
