This catering business is very famous and its kind of traiteur has a very good reputation. We were rather hungry, it was early evening, yet they were ok serving at the table, after choosing the various food from the take-away window, which you can take away and re-heat at home.
The only correct dish was the cous-cous because it is a cold dish, and the mozzarella because it also cold.
All the other warm or re-heated dishes were simply unacceptable and a serious insult to the culinary institution in general. The worse was the meat which was better to be eaten cold; indeed, you could taste it was re-heated as left-over at home from the day before. The quality of the meat probably Chianina was really bad, maybe not, and if so really not that good in general for the ones who knows good meat.
The service, was ok, yet still managed forgetting one dish, when almost no one was in the restaurant. Another rather poor impression in view of the situation at the time.
Lastly once the main Chef left, whom we knew by site, one of his colleague cut some prosciutto, use his bare hand doing it, while touching other dishes or his glasses or some of the ham simply went on some dishes located below in the window.
A complete disgrace of hygiene, and if there were a control, as far as I am concerned this place could close immediately. It is one thing to have a name, but to see and most importantly taste all this non-sense, it is not acceptable. I hope this note will not be thrown under the carpet as one should learn from this horrible mistakeS.
