“Offers a varied selection of entertainment, the pantomimes are always top class family entertainment”

The Theatre Royal does really well to offer such a varied range of entertainment that appeals to the whole family. We have visited dozens of times for family dance shows, pantomimes and other performances. You get a great view from all seats in the Theatre and the staff are always courteous and helpful. The pantomime last Christmas, Snow White, was particularly good and the family loved the 3D segment in the show. The tickets and refreshments are always good value and the Theatre is a credit to St Helens.

We have been in previous years to see the pantomimes here and Sleeping beauty did not disappoint this year. The staff are always approachable and helpful. Refreshments are readily available. Lovely atmosphere

I came back to my hometown for the weekend, to meet up with family. I had seen the Illegal Eagles at the start of their tour in Richmond Surrey, and they did not dissapoint us. Once again they provided me and my family to a great evenings entertainment.
The lads are such a talented group of musicians, there interaction with their audience is
top class, full marks to the group, if you get chance to see them, make the most of it.
On the downside the toilets are virtually non existent the queue for the gents was up 3 flights of stairs, the theatre is painted the most tacky colour of lilac.

Last night, we went to see "A Spoonful of Sherman" and had a really great evening. The show was marvellous with excellent singing and dancing.
Although the theatre is in the throws of renovation, and so might not be as comfortable as usual, the staff were some of the most welcoming and helpful people I have ever come across in a theatre. The lady behind the bar, the gentleman who came to sort out the heater and the young man who was checking the tickets for the stalls area all deserve a very high review.
