The staff, the room, the facilities, everything was perfect. I couldn't fault the experience my son, mother and I had.

I will definitely be coming back to stay at this resort on my next trip to Bryon Bay.

January is usually a time we are overseas for our summer break. COVID-19 changed that so we booked Byron.
Unknowingly our son and daughter-in-law with their children booked also. The stays overlapped. They had a standard room we a rainforest room. Got to say both nice but we had the better fresher brighter room.
(If they come again please don’t give them room 1.)
They had some family days before we arrived and loved it. Being small children 5 and 7 the fold away bed was fine.
Could say that both rooms needed to have floor vacuumed each day or in our case mopped as they were tiles. An issue noted by both.
As a family the pool an walkways were used, both great. It’s a deep pool but their is a kiddie pool. Lots of kids having fun didn’t disturb anyone and yes it is school holidays. Could have done with a person taking orders rather than having to go to bar each time. There were buzzers on the verandah next to the pool. The restaurant was always busy for dinner and late bookings were hard. That given and having small children we were able to dine on a deck near toys and bring our own. That is a first class resort.
When my son, daughter in law and kids left we stayed. Still kids in pool but as a couple we relaxed, read, and swam with no problems.
The staff were always helpful food was high quality and the rainforest relaxed us from the busy Byron town.
Staying out a bit is sooo much better than a unit in town.
Here we had the best of both worlds. We were so impressed we booked again for January knowing the chance of o/s travel being out of the question. A couple booking at the resort in school holidays says something about a resort able to accommodate all tastes.

The resort is lovely and would recommend it - very friendly, helpful staff; beautiful setting; spacious self-contained rooms; good location out of Byron CBD.

The resort has a health and wellness feel which I loved, but it's not fully exercised. It would benefit from choosing a direction, as it seems to be overlapping with a more upmarket, family-fun holiday resort.

If focussing on the health vibe, it would benefit greatly from a better equipped gym, more wellness activities and yoga/exercise classes, better food options (salads, smoothies, sandwiches, poke bowls, sushi), another pool (solely for fun and family) and maintaining the magnificent lap pool exclusively for exercise and better resort bikes.

The service wasn't great but that seemed consistent throughout Byron and might have been due to holidays and crowds.

Thanks for having us!!

I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share just how much you enjoyed your entire experience with us, from the beautiful suites to the great location and everything in between. We do have more families staying with us during school holidays and so our pool can get quite busy. We also offer complimentary daily yoga classes as well as your personal in-room yoga mat to ground you in your yoga, barre Pilates, Pilates and meditation practice. Partnering with The Indigo Project, we've developed four guided meditations; gratitude, grounding, manifesting and body scanning, all available on your in-room iPad. We'd be happy to help curate your wellness visit during your next stay and I do hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.

Firstly the resort itself is nice - rooms ok and pool and amenities are good. The service is what let’s it down.

Drinks service at The Verandah Bar is so, so slow. This is after you finally manage to hunt down someone willing / able to take your order.

It’s even worse in The Forest restaurant. Despite my efforts - we were only able to order two glasses of wine throughout a three course meal. It was just impossible to get served. Plus strange things like bringing two 1.5L bottles of sparkling water for a couple when we requested sparkling?!

We thought we would try this resort after staying at others in Byron but never again.

We booked very last minute and arrived at the hotel just after New Year. The staff were exceptionally helpful throughout our stay. Tiago and Lara were incredibly kind and so very accommodating. The staff throughout the resort always made us feel welcome. We loved the rainforest and the pool area.
My only issue is the lack of cooking facilities on the apartments. Limited for families who might need to cook more.
I also think the food is very average for a 5 star hotel. We got the calamari for $18 with about 10 pieces in it. Then the kids pancakes were two small round pancakes. I haven’t been served anything so small before. There is room for improvement in the menu, the finesse in the dishes and the size.
Otherwise the ambiance is there, the service is there and the place is a little piece of heaven
