“Idyllic”

Wow, if ever there was an idyllic place to stay this is it. A delightful property, a bit quirky (in a good way) with parking at the front and the beach at the rear. The property is well appointed with everything you could need, a real home from home except with fabulous views from the balcony where you can watch the sun set over the sea. Unusually we decided to eat in a couple of nights making use of the well equipped kitchen and the sea almost lapping at the back door. Set away from the main beach we hardly saw a soul and it was the ideal place to relax especially as there is no wifi in the property. Bear in mind though that this was the end of the season and the whole town was quiet although the Montalbano House next door did attract a few visitors taking pictures. How much this would detract from the idyllic location in high season I don't know.
There is small supermarket just up the road which caters for the basics and there are several eateries. You do need a car if you want to visit the surrounding area but this place makes a good base where you can relax after a hard day exploring.

It really was perfect. Really relaxed village.view to die for, falling asleep to the sound of gentle waves. Nearly got caught up in filming montellbano, bonus. People really nice who own the place. Would say you definitely need a car so much to see. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will be back. Everything you need, even a washing machine. We cooked in a couple of nights the kitchen very well equipped, a small supermarket just round the corner has essentials for a nice pasta dinner and local wine delicious. Ate at sands fish restaurant one night

“Fab place right on the beach”
Reviewed 3 November 2014 for a stay in October 2014

October - its still 21 C here and fine to sit on the beach and swim in the warm Med.
Appartment is beautifully laid out- street front has morning sun; while sea facing terrace is the place to sit with a beer and watch the sunset. In between - a lounge with TV for when the sun goes down, and a kitchen/dining area with French doors opening to the terrace.
Did I mention the mezzanine bedroom with views over the breaking surf?
The place is modern with nearly everything we require- including hairdryer, washing machine and plenty of books- thank you. Fluffy towels and good bed linen...no expense spared. Two small tips; no Wifi, so get yourself a Wingle and a SIM card if you cant live without Internet; and off season you need to buy cornetto marmalada from the bar for breakfast- only fresh bread and cheese at the local supermarket.. A Wonderful place.

“Fantastic place for a holiday!”
Reviewed 10 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Giulia was there to welcome us and couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely well-appointed apartment. The nearby supermarket with it's friendly staff had everything we needed.Choice of restaurants.Sandy beach on our doorstep. Sea warm enough for to swim in. Only one tromba d'aria. Lots of lovely countryside and old towns within driving distance - take a good road map though. Excellent.

Liked best: The beach on our doorstep.
Liked least: Inquisitive Montalbano fans. The film crew and their vehicles were a nuisance - we couldn't park our car outside and they wanted us to keep doors and windows shut when they were filming outside - but this wouldn't have upset true Montalbano fans.

“Comfy house on the beach at Punta Secca”

The house is just next to the Inspector Montalbano's house as you see in the movie. This means that you will have access to the same beach few steps away. Moreover, if you are too lazy to get down to the sand, you can stay on the patio/balcony the entire day.
The apartment is well defined and has got all the utilities you need. In my opinion, the only missing thing is some sort of fan to cool down the bedroom on the upper floor. We were keeping the bedroom doors shut after midday to keep the room temperature down.
The apartment does not offer internet access so it can be a good opportunity to get disconnected from the busy world out there.
During the summer it may be busy on the beach which will be nice and calm before 9-10am and after 6pm. In addition, some festivities are in town during the summer time and they will usually last before midnight so you won't be bored too much.
