We stayed in the Standard 1br Cabin #1, thankfully it was only for one night due to a stop over, we were in at 4:00pm & out just after 8:00am.

First of all, the staff were fine, no issues whatsoever!
The Cabin not so good & not what I am used to staying at similar accommodation at other parks across Australia, although it appeared clean, it is very dated & tired looking.

Issues which I found need addressing with this particular cabin:

1. No screen door means you need to keep the main door closed at all times, no fresh air coming in. We arrived & it was way too hot, the A/C although working took a good 20mins to get going enough to cool the room.
Windows all had screens which thankfully we opened to get the breeze in through the place.

2. Earwigs in the main bed, I just about nearly had a heart attack as I tossed over a pillow to see a creepy crawly scurrying across my bed!

3. The floor in the bathroom is peeling away at the joint due to moisture, I'm guessing from the shower = trip hazard.

4. Two lights in the Cabin not working.

5. The Rangehood appeared about 40yrs old & was way past its due date, it was horrendous & dirty, too afraid to even touch it, let alone use it, we ate out!

6. The mattresses in the bunk beds were old & stained they had holes they appeared to be from cigarette burns but could I be wrong.

7. The pool had rubbish in it, I fished out a can of lemonade from the shallow end although the surrounding area was clean & pleasant!

Everything else was working fine.
The Cabin had a full fridge, microwave & an electric blanket = tick.
Did not use the Wi-Fi, no idea whether it works or not = ?
A bit of traffic noise but you expect that when located on a major thoroughfare.

The positives: Right next door to Woollies, Highpoint further away as is Sunshine Marketplace.
Public transportation out the front, is also a bonus, so tick!

Now, would I stay here again? I would say yes but definitely not this Cabin.

We stayed here in a beautiful 3 bedroom cabin ( 205 ) it had everything we needed, kids loved the tv’s in every bedroom and the deck out the front was great for the adults to sit and relax also the spa bath in our cabin was a good size. The pool is really nice and the kids loved it even if it was a bit cold for the parents. The park is perfectly located right next door to a little shopping center with a Woolworths and a beautiful little chicken shop it’s also just an easy 12 minute drive to the show grounds and only a little further and your in the city. Loved our stay and will be back next year for meatstock too.

We stayed in a fantastic 2 bedroom onsite cabin(no. 207). Plenty of space in this well equipped, clean and comfortable cabin. Air Conditioning, Ceiling Fan, TV and DVD in living room along with a 3 + 2 seater lounges and a four seating dining table. Both bedrooms equipped with lovely pillowtop beds, wardrobes. bed side tables, ceiling fans and a TV.
Throw in a fully equipped kitchen, full size fridge and a deck with outdoor setting - Why would you choose a tiny motel room when for a little more you get all this?
I should add that a full size bathroom with Spa bath shower and separate toilet were also included. Easy car parking next to the cabin (could fit two cars) plus additional parking areas are available.
Great facilities within the park including playground, pool, games room and camp kitchen. The whole park was kept very clean and tidy and is a credit to the staff and management.
We had one small problem, the toilet continued running, but this was fixed after brining it to the attention of staff in reception.
The park is located an easy 20 minutes drive from Melbourne city (about 30 min by bus from the stop at the front gate) and next door to a small shopping centre that includes a Woolworths. I could hear the jets taking off/landing from the airport but they did not interfere with my or my wife and sons sleep. If your a light sleeper then maybe consider ear plugs.
I will happily recommend this Discovery Park to my family and friends and of course I'll choose here next time I need to stay in Melbourne.

This camp - associated with the respected Big 4 group is run to a high standard. Positioned in Ashey Street, Braybrook it is on the same road as the Maui Campervan rental depot. Excellent swimming pool and the camp management even lent us two bus pass cards which saved buying them. Right alongside a large shopping centre which permits easy stocking of a camper that you have just picked up at Maui.

We stayed in a standard cabin - the pictures on the website show what you will get. It’s on the basic side, but if you want more luxury you need to pay for another option. And options are what Discovery Parks have! The price was fantastic and the room met our needs - there for a week of sport, we weren’t hanging around much. The air-con was a blessing and was able to cool down the entire cabin for nighttime. Great to have the laundry facilities on site. The pool was nice and layout meant safe areas for little kids too. Staff in reception were lovely and helpful. Having the supermarket next door (and a few other shops) made it very convenient (we didn’t have a car).
