Review of The Little Teapot

The Little Teapot
Ranked #1 of 2 Quick Bites in Davistown
Description: Family operated business. With Amber organic coffee and a selection of loose leaf teas served in fine china cups and teapot. Slices and Cakes baked on premises daily. A good selection of gluten free items. Why not book one of our High Teas. We have bike racks so cyclists can park safely off the road. And a Dog friendly Back garden. Also a cubby house and childrens play area.

Very popular and fairly busy during the week. Good menu of varied meals.
The Cafe is not very big but has a lovely outdoor area

We have been coming to the Little Teapot Cafe for the past 7 years and have always enjoyed it's ambience. The staff have been helpful, friendly and attentive. However, recently the cafe changed ownership and the new manager has demonstrated an argumentative and arrogant manner on a couple of occasions. His partner, on the other hand, is delightful, polite and caring as are the other staff.
On a fairly recent visit he argued with me, a customer by the way, on the matter of a misunderstood order. He basically called me a liar in a queue of customers which I found quite embarrassing; there's me thinking that "the customer is always right". I spent many years in a retail industry and never tried to embarrass a customer but simply came to an amiable and quiet arrangement.
Don't get me wrong, the cafe is good but my wife and I quite simply will never return whilst he is the proprietor. He needs a lesson in customer relations.

nice atmosphere, relaxed, convivial, good coffee, quick, efficient service, busy which is good, many locals came by and some out of towners too, this is a hidden gem, worth the visit and take coffee down to the river to ponder

We went to this lovely cafe today with indoor seating and outdoor seating out the back. We ordered the high tea for 2 off the menu and it was delicious. The food was really fresh and well presented and excellent value for money. The staff were very helpful and we will definitely be back again. Highly recommend the high tea!!

The place is an absolute joke. The prices are ridiculously high. The staff are rude and will handle your food without gloves or tongs with no second thought. Social distancing doesn't exist, and it's only a matter of time before COVID breaks out there. I even watched the staff take a dog inside after hours. Do yourself a favour and stay away !!
