Encouraged by recent reviews we called in for lunch yesterday. Its been refurbished since our last visit and, although it looks fresher and less like a boudoir, the food offering does not match the rest of the experience. The service was at best adequate, the food, although ample in portion, was variable in quality, flavour and temperature. Some of the beers were off and the coffee came from one of those dreadful push button machines. The price was OK for OK food but won't be rushing back.

We came on a friday night & the bar area was very busy ( a very good singer was performing), we ordered drinks at the bar & were taken to our table. Decent, varied menu with decent veggie choice.
Orders taken quickly and starters arrived very promptly & were excellent. Mains took a little longer but that was OK & I do recommend the veggie Indian Thali. it was extremely tasty.
It took a long time to get our plates cleared after this & we had to chase for the deserts/ drinks order we placed. Again a very long wait for the bill which spoilt what could have been a perfect evening.
Saying that the staff were lovely & very friendly.
Wouldn't want to be here when the reaturant is full/ busy, I suspect it would be a disaster.

We came here for Father's Day lunch, food was lovely and fresh, we did wait a while but there was a lot of us. A few things were forgotten but staff made amends by giving us complimentary sweets. The Sunday dinners were very tasty, veg was fresh, there was lots to eat. I think it could have been better as they seemed to be short staffed, we will be back again just my partner and I to try other food on the menu. The decor is beautiful definitely the surroundings for a romantic meal or special occasion.

The food was great, well cooked and well presented which I thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. The décor and the seating was extremely comfortable. Sadly there were few people in the restaurant when we attended, can't understand why as this is a good place to go for a meal out in the village.

Service & Food Great, sadly lacks a little ambience.
Had a Sunday Lunch and was very impressed, food nice and to my liking.
But very quiet atmosphere, a shame as I have been in on a Friday night and there is much more going on, perhaps I got a quiet Sunday?
