We always LOVE going to Zarephath for an intimate weekend lunch. The wine is delicious and they have won multiple awards for it so it shows! Their food is amazing as well - most things are home made by Rosie, or locally sourced from close by. We had the duck liver pate to start, roast snapper on a beetroot rice and cucumber salad, and slow cooked spiced lamb stew, served on a bed of quinoa, pomegranate and roast carrot. For dessert we shared the pannacotta, which was served with fresh mulberries from their own garden and tasted beautiful.
The mains are always filling and very reasonably priced. They were delivered to us very quickly as well, much faster than a lot of places that we have visited more recently in Albany and surrounds.
We will definitely be returning soon to see what else Rosie has concocted for her menu (which changes weekly).
I definitely recommend calling to book a spot in advance as it is getting more and more popular every month, and as it is family owned and run there are days they must inevitably be closed for business or personal reasons.
