“Excellent Area, Accomodation and Country.”
Reviewed 1 November 2014 for a stay in July 2012

I've stopped in this house on numerous occasions over the years and each time it satisfies. It's situated very much in the countryside in rolling hills, but is only a car trip away from several idyllic villages (Bruniquel, Puycelci). The house is tidy and large. With the pool, table tennis, the setting and the books and games all at the house there is plenty to do. For those that cant leave electronic gadgetry behind there is a cd player and tv. There are Tennis courts down the road and the river can be swam in (we kayaked also). I've seen wild boar and deer from the house and you can walk in pretty much any direction if you want to have a look at the local countryside and wildlife.
A truly wonderful place and perfect for getting to know the south of France. Simply one of my favourite regular spots of the world to visit.

“Lovely farmhouse in a beautiful setting”
Reviewed 31 October 2014 for a stay in June 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Poumayrette. It's a spacious converted farmhouse surrounded by beautiful countryside. The pool is great, and there's plenty of outdoor space for having barbeques, relaxing in the sun and enjoying the stunning views over the valley. The pool was also great fun on hot days.

The farmhouse is right in the countryside, so it's lovey and peaceful. Penne is the nearest town, about three miles away, and makes for a fun walk through the trees. The ruins at Penne are definately worth a look and we really enjoyed wandering up and down the pretty narrow streets. We also had a lot of fun trying out wines from the local vineyards. The Ferme Auberge up the road was also brilliant for really tasty local food.

A great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

“Wonderful for groups of friends or families with small children”
Reviewed 27 October 2014 for a stay in June 2013

My wife and I stayed here with three other couples, two of whom had young (<1 year old) children. Perfect place for such a holiday as it was nice and spacious, safe for the kids and relaxing for the adults!

We visited a few of the local towns and villages and spent other days just relaxing by the pool (which has a safety cover for when not in use) and enjoying some of the local wines.

Thoroughly recommended.

“Beautiful and peaceful house, great for relaxation and getting out into the countryside”
Reviewed 16 October 2014 for a stay in July 2014

I loved staying here - it's spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed. Pool is gorgeous, countryside and views around the house jaw-dropping, and lovely villages nearby. Fantastic place to bring a family, with lots of space and activities, and a kitchen stocked with all of the pots and pans etc you might need. It has wifi and satellite tv, so although you are definitely in France, you still feel connected to real life! You do need a car to get there and to get around. Particularly enjoyed swimming in a nearby river, and walking through meadows and forests to a local walled town, and enjoying locally made organic pear sorbet!
