“Outstanding as usual”
Reviewed 30 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Just returned from our second stay at Ford Old Hall Barn with my wife and 4 yr old son. Outstanding in every way! The very highest standards both inside and out, from the immaculate hot tub and covered porch area to the high spec finish of the kitchen and mod cons. We didn't really need the wood burner (but couldn't resist) as the underfloor heating means the barn is lovely and warn. The usual home cooked chilli, bread, jams and cakes go down a real treat! The owners Nigel and Lynn clearly have very high standards and understand how to allow their guests to have the perfect stay. We will certainly return again and couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

“10/10”
Reviewed 7 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Ford Old Hall Barn is simply one of the best places I have stayed in, actually, probably the best.

So many positive points and not one negative point.

Nigel and Lynn welcomed us when we arrived and showed us around and explained everything to us. Nigel also took the time to explain various places to visit/walk and eat.

Attention to detail here is just brilliant.

The home cooked chilli was a welcome sight when we arrived as was the bottle of red. The table was laid which added to the whole welcome.

Freshly baked bread and breakfast items were also left for us which made the following morning so much easier, especially with the children.

Hot tub was very relaxing and the whole barn was so clean it made it a pleasure to stay.

Would recommend this to anyone who wanted a great relaxing holiday.

“You simply have to stay here!”
Reviewed 6 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

I cannot praise Nigel and Lynn enough for what they've created at Ford Old Hall Barn.

We stayed here in May half term, Monday to Friday-2 adults and 2 children.

The accommodation is spotless-not just spotless but squeaky clean. Not a spec of dust, all appliances look brand new and nothing looks like it's even been used. Thank you for making me able to relax on arrival rather than making me have to clean before I unpacked!

We devoured gorgeous chilli and rice (with nachos and soured cream!) after we had unpacked, all prepared before we arrived. Such a thoughtful and welcome part of the holiday. Later in the week, we had a delicious ginger cake left for us while we were out walking-it's like having a culinary fairy fluttering away behind the scenes. There were pastries, jams and fresh bread ready for our breakfasts PLUS free range eggs! Perfect!

Nigel and Lynn welcomed us on arrival and Nigel showed us around. We all felt at home immediately. Nigel and Lynn are there if you need anything which is great to know.

The hot tub was a hit and even the children had appropriate sized robes to use before and after hot tubbing it. All towels for the hot tub and bathing are provided so you don't have to use wet towels at any point.

The lack of mobile signal can be a positive and because there is wifi, you can keep in touch if you want to. iMessage and whatsapp work perfectly with wifi!

Overall, the best self catering accommodation we have stayed in, ever! Everything stated on the facilities list was there and worked-a real bonus when most places have excuses waiting as to why you can't use X, Y or Z. What a pity more places aren't like this.

Without hesitation, you must stay here - don't bother searching for anywhere else, book in confidence knowing you have stumbled across the best!

Thank you to Nigel and Lynn for making everything so perfect. We will be back asap!!!

“Gorgeous Barn”
Reviewed 3 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We have just had a wonderful bank holiday weekend at the barn. It was recommended to us by another family and we are so pleased that they told us about it.
The barn itself is gorgeous with a lovely open plan sitting room and modern kitchen. It is very well equipped so you don't need to bring anything extra from home.
We loved the outdoor hot tub and Nigel very helpful telling us how it worked when he welcomed us and showed us around.
We hope to return again.
Thank you Lynn and Nigel.
