“Pure bliss”

Old ford hall barn is one of the nicest places we have stayed in. We go away every October half term and always look for something different and this certainly did the trick. Lynn and Nigel welcomed us even though we arrived earlier than planned; there was homemade bread and lots of extras like a home cooked meal and bottle of wine - the chilli was delicious as was the ginger cake we returned to after a day walking. We enjoyed the hot tub which was our own little luxury especially with a glass of wine! The kingsize bed was pure bliss and we have never slept so well.
Had a few pub lunches and our favourite was the Devonshire arms in Hartington.
Will definitely be going back!

Very enjoyable stay. High standard of accommodation, clean and well maintained. Friendly owners, very helpful and excellent communication before our stay. Nice additional touches provided like meal on arrival, home baked loaves and ginger cake. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

“Fantastic romantic and luxurious barn conversion in the Peak District.”

We booked the barn after extensive searching on the Internet, we were looking for somewhere quiet and romantic for our wedding anniversary but also somewhere which was well equipped and of a high standard. This accommodation more than exceeded our expectations, in fact, it is probably the nicest place we have stayed in, the only problem was that we had such a short time to enjoy it. Everything was first class from the initial response to my enquiry, to information sent prior to arrival, to the actual barn itself which is superbly designed, furnished and equipped, and immaculate. Lynn and Nigel who own the barn are very welcoming, friendly and informative and there are lots of little extras which make this holiday unique. On the first night of our stay we arrived after a long journey to find a home cooked chilli waiting for us in the slow cooker, the table all ready set with a bottle of red wine. There was also a bottle of bubbly on ice with a lovely card for our anniversary. There was also all the essentials you may need at the start of a Hi day - fresh milk, free range eggs, home made bread and more. It is things like this which are really appreciated . I could say many more good things about this holiday but I think I will just say I recommend you book to find out for yourself.

“Outstanding accommodation in a perfect location”
Reviewed 24 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Stayed for 3 nights with my wife and 2 yr old son - wonderful welcome with home cooked food and a bottle of wine. The barn conversion is outstanding and everything is finished to the very highest standard. The hot tub is really clean and well maintained and it is clear that Nigel and Lynn (the owners) take great pride in the standard of their accommodation. The barn is perfectly placed to explore the peak district. We did Alton Towers and Chatsworth House which we thought were great!. If you are a looking for high end accommodation with a personal touch this is the place to be. We will definitely be going back.
