I went here with friends for my birthday. It was a beautiful warm August evening so we sat outside. The food was great and the service was friendly and relaxed. Good value too. We will definitely return.

Having just recently moved to Lympne a few weeks ago, it was time for R&R so we booked a table at the Bistro. The food was excellent, and the service perfect and will be a regular visitor in the weeks and months to come The belly of pork with dauphinoise potatoes with black pudding was superb

Great location.
Food & service good.
Seemed quite pricey though.
Would have liked to return for dinner deal but chef unable to advise what would be on the menu.

It's hard to find the bistro, tucked behind a high stone wall in this ancient little village-in-a-village. But the search is worth it. (And it's a cookery school too!) The service is friendly, very competent and designed to put you at ease. The meals are all 100% freshly-cooked and distinctive, with interesting veggie choices for us vegetarians and plenty of meaty choices including tagines, moussakas and classic steaks. But it's the cakes which are their signature creations. And it's an ideal place to call in for a decent coffee with that cake! Any drawbacks? Tricky to find and tricky to park when there's a wedding 'do' at the fabulous castle/church nearby. Highly recommended.
