We stayed over here in february 2016. The villa is really beautiful and big. It has two bedrooms (both with a large double bed) and two outdoor bathrooms with showers. The living room is very big, with a large TV (and a lot of movies and TV-channels). The wooden kitchen is beautiful, and has basic kitchenware and a fridge.
The outside has a nice swimming pool of about 10 meters long, a garden, and two sunloungers, positioned in the shadow.
The neigborhood is very nice. The centre of Ubud is 20-30 minutes walking, or 5 minutes by motorbike (which you can rent everywhere). But, along the Jl. Raya Penestanan, which is only a two-minute walk from the villa, are a lot of restaurant as well. Also, it's only a 10-minute walk to Warwick Ibah, along the Jl. Raya Ubud, where a nice walk through the ricefields starts.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Jugul, and we would recommend everyone to spend their time in Ubud over here.

My partner and myself stayed here in December after visiting Seminyak. It was not until we reached Penestanan did we truly relax and unwind!
The villa was suggested to us by our Balinese friend and we were not disappointed. Our dealings with Nyoman from the very beginning were prompt and professional. Booking, payment and negotiations were easy.
The villa is situated just outside Ubud. It can be a little tricky to initially find as it is set off the main road. Having said that, most villas are. A walk to Ubud would take about 30 minutes depending on fitness and how many stops you take! We only did this a couple of times as everything we really needed was in Penestanan.
The villa is spacious, stylish, clean and peaceful...more impressive than the photographs online! Both bedrooms are big each with their own bathroom, with the main bedroom having the luxury of the outdoor private bath. The lounge and kitchen is open plan. The kitchen has everything one requires should they wish to cook for themselves. All rooms are beautifully decorated and have stunning B&W photographs of traditional Balinese people.
The outdoor area is fabulous! A great sized pool, sits next to the gazebo and is surrounded by greenery. We spent a couple of days not leaving the villa and moving from lounge chair to pool and back again!
Nyoman has a caretaker present for most of the day. He speaks very good English and is available to prepare breakfast, clean the villa and answer any questions. Nyoman is also contactable via email.
- Shop close by to easily get drinks and snacks.
- Plenty of places to eat on main road catering for all price ranges.
- Intuitive Flow Yoga studio about 5 minutes walk away!
- Be organised with getting money changed as closest is a good walk away.
- No taxis in area so you need to negotiate a fare with individual drivers.
- Visit Indus restaurant! A must!

My wife and my two kids have had a really great week in this villa.
Nyoman - the owner - was there to greet us. The staff - preparing breakfasts and doing the cleaning - was so friendly and helpful.
The villa is really nice, all made of wood in typical indonesian architecture. All windows can be opened wide so that you feel as outside. The garden is small but so nice and pleasant thanks to a great agencement. AND the Swimming pool is just great, really nice.
There are rice paddies close to the house. It is surprisingly quiet, probably the only place in bali where I didn't hear roosters during at night. The villa is very close to the center of ubud. You can get there by walking - aprox 20min, but it is so convenient by taxis (always waiting at the corner), for about 50K rupia - that's 3USD - and it takes maximum 3 to 5 min even when taking into account the constant traffic jams.
There are also about 7 restaurants very close if you don't want to cook. Some can even deliver.
Summary - you can find larger gardens probably but further away from the center, and finding taxis and having lunch can then be very challenging.
Keep it like this Nyoman!
