Have just returned from a lovely family weekend here. Quite isolated, which we knew it would be but lovely lawn at front, ample car parking and views over the river. We spent 2 of our days walking with the dogs at Bosherton lily Ponds, then onto the beach and at Stackpole. Lovely pub here where we had s Sunday Dinner (being the only one we could find to serve food all day on a Sunday) This was St Govan's Inn which I can recommend.
The barn itself is very well done out, but apart from the kitchen which is large, the photographs make the lounge and bedrooms look bigger than they actually are. For 8 adults as the property has 4 bedrooms, the fridge was nowhere big enough to get everything in!!! The only other negative as for the price of the weekend is fairly expensive for self catering was the crockery was very shabby, and badly marked and scratched. I know it must be heavily used but would think it should be checked for condition every so often. A welcome tray was set out with 4 cups and saucers but there were 8 of us, and a small bowl with a few screwed up looking teabags and some sugar sachets. This for a little bit more effort, could be made more appealing, even with coffee sachets too, and a packet of biscuits??? Didn't matter really and only a small negative, as we had brought lots of our own food anyway.
