Stayed in beach chalets for four nights in March, luckily in low season so hotel was very quiet, almost we were the only guests. It had a great advantage because we could relax and rest well without being disturbed and could enjoy that breathtaking ocean view through the day.
Disadvantage was that they didn’t do buffet breakfast or dinner due to low occupancy but l don’t blame them for it, so did all nearby hotels except Maalu Maalu which seemed to be more occupied.
Also found staff a bit slow and inattentive, air conditioning was not working well in one of the chalets, key cards also failed to work and they didn’t bother to clear room service tray overnight from our front door so it was totally messed up by crows by next noon.
It’s hard to imagine how this place is managing operation when fully booked?
Probably the strangest thing for us was to realise no managers were around at all, the only senior staff member seemed to be the head chef who was really lovely by the way along with the kitchen and restaurant team, and did everything we asked for.
It was also strange that they made a huge effort every day to maintain and clean their beach area but they don’t do anything for the water itself being more accessible for bathing. The beach is on a huge coral reef, water is shallow and beautifully lukewarm once you get yourself through the rocks and corals. Just imagine what difference could be a long wooden deck above those rocks with a staircase leading to the clear water so you could jump in and enjoy bathing without hassle or cutting your foot.
Second day we accidentally found some plastic beach shoes near the chalets, they keep them there l guess for those who want to swim in the ocean instead of the pool. But no one mentioned with a word when we arrived that ‘hey we have these shoes use them in case you want to challenge yourself through the corals ‘

This hotel was like an abandoned sleeping beauty, it would need more care and attention from the company management because more and more demanding tourists are/will be visiting and discovering their beautiful country so it’s time to set an earlier alarm for wake up call.

This is one of my most memorable stays in Sri Lanka. I loved the way this Hotel is Built and the interior. Staff was friendly and Helpful. Rooms were amazing and bathrooms are roomy. And I also Liked the swimming pool as well. If you are a beach lover, this is the place you should visit coz the beach is very close to the Hotel. Food is great but I'd prefer more dining space in the main restaurant. The hotel is so calm and quiet and I loved the atmosphere.

Room Tip: The upper floor rooms have a better sea view.

Nice location with exciting beach, wonderful and clean rooms, great pool. Friendly and helpful staff. Only minus was that it took a long time to check in and the breakfast was a bit small....Anyway we will certainly come back and stay at this hotel again.

Very poor quality hotel. I never recommend this to anyone.

We had a stay in this hotel on 1st of March 2018 (1 triple room and 3 double rooms).

Cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms were unsatisfactory with full of stains.

In the swimming pool, several tiles were missing, which carries a risk of injury.

We had to take meals form ala-carte menu since the buffet was no available. Variety of the available choices were not satisfactory. Some of the string hoppers we received were under cooked.

During our stay, the room access key card was not working. Hotel management was not able to settle the issue and we had to get it open by requesting master key card from the reception, each and every time.

Manager was not available at the hotel and we contacted her over the phone. The manager lady spoke in an unfriendly manner and never apologized about their faults.

In room television system and the intercom system was not working for more than 5 hours. No technical person was available at the hotel to settle the issue.

Please don't visit this kind of poor quality hotel which is not for the money that you are spending.

I’ve almost been to every hotel in pasikuda at least once. Out of those I’ve been to Anilana 4 time because it’s soo different than the other Hotels in Pasikuda. The View is unbelievable and the pool is great. It’s very calm and relaxing, the spa is great, staff is very friendly with smile on their face always. And has the best beach you can find. There’s a pathway which leads you to half way to the sea and there are hundreds of fishes underneath it and i got to swim with them. That was one of the unforgettable experiences of my life. Food was excellent on the first time i came but now it’s not that great as if it was in the first time. But still i will definitely come again and again
