We chose the weekend of the great 2015 Washington Wind Storm to stay at Jacobs Landing. Luckily for us we arrived early on a Friday and enjoyed the local stores and the water park before returning to the condo to play in the indoor pool and the game rooms. Friday was a great day, we slept very soundly that night. Saturday morning we planned a trip to Discovery Days but right after the final piece of French Toast was pulled off the stove, Birch Bay (and most of Western Washington) lost power. No power and high winds put a stop to Discovery Days that Saturday but we still managed to have a great time at Jacobs Landing. The view from our room was splendid, we could watch the beach and tree branches barely missing passing pedestrians. Although Birch Bay never regained power during our stay we had a great time. The condo is well furnished with board games and stayed warm without power.
Our only complaint is the living room rug in 416; as close to torture equipment as they come, beware: do not sit, kneel, or walk on without shoes, that thing is deadly.
