An amazing cavern on Psiloritis mountain. Facility offers a large park area nearby the cave. Before you enter in cavern you can enjoy the breathtaking view offers this mountain. After you get in cave you will listen the history and the related details by the guide for the location and cavern. Cavern is very big and approximate visit time is from 30 to 40 minutes. A very beautiful and safe complex from stalactites and stalagmites. I strongly recommend a visit to Sfendoni cavern.

A wonderful guided tour through this spectacular cave. Some may say the LED lights may be a bit much but having the lights there makes it even more special because it picks up different details of the cave.
It was a quick tour & I felt that it was a bit rushed & you couldn’t absorb the beauty of the cave and stop to admire it but it was long enough for the kids.
Price to get in is reasonable;
There is a cafe which is where you buy entry tickets.
There are toilet facilities which are clean & working.

We were driving by and stopped for a visit. Not many tours offered during the day we visited. Most tours in Greek and we waited for a tour in English. Lots of great photo opportunities and staff was helpful.

It is also named Sfentoni Trypa or Sfendoni ; it is abundantly decorated with stalactites and stalagmites and at the bottom there are fossilized waves ; it is a large cave oriented from north to south and has a length of about 145 meters ,the total area being of 3,500 square meters ;the cave has many rooms which follow one another ; it is located in the village of Zanonia overlooking the valley of Mylopotamos ; the cave is very well managed,there is an entrance fee and only guided tours are possible ; as the guide told us, it is one of the best accessible caves in Greece and one of the most beautifully decorated ones ; it is named after a partisan fighter named Sfendonis who took refuge here fleeing the Turks who were following him ; it is definitely worth a visit especially for those who like this kind of attractions ;
