PosHHuts was booked as a lovely little surprise birthday break. Following booking the owners sent correspondence to make sure all aspects of our trip were covered and also left a nice little note inside our PosHHut on arrival. Even thought we didn't get the best weather during the stay our BBQ food did not go to waste as the amenities within the PosHHut saved the day. The hut itself was nicely decorated and acted like a Tardis, deceivingly big inside. There was a lack of mobile phone signal within the area which was to be expected and we were warned about prior to arriving. Overall a lovely one night stay and would recommend to friends.

Stayed for one night as a get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life which it was, no internet phone or TV, mint. Nice tidy compact little huts with everything you need, we payed a visit to The Pheasant Inn for a meal which was excellant, this is a great location if you like walking or mountain biking.

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of February. I was a bit dubious of staying in a shepherds hut in the middle of winter in the freezing cold, but I couldn't of been more wrong. The place was well equipped with a small kitchen and bathroom and a lovely comfy bed. There's a tiny log burner in the corner that gave out so much heat, the hut was cozy and warm, there's is a back up heater which we didn't need. There's a fire pit outside and we managed to concoct a BBQ.
The owner was really helpful, the cottage is lovely and private.
We went with the intention of star gazing but the weather was unfortunately against us, but I did see a shooting star.
I'd definitely recommend it's for a lovely chilled out romantic break.
There's a lovely little cafe in the village and plenty of walks.

I think where my review may differ from others, is that we stayed for 5 nights...
For 1 or 2 nights, possibly even 3, the Shepherds huts would be fine but for 5 and all the clothes and bits and bobs that go with that, it was a challenge.

The best thing overall was the shower...fantastic! Better than mine at home.
The underfloor heating wasn't working and at -3 one night...it would have been lovely.
There is 1 heater under the table that was on constantly but like I say, we were there late December, so was very cold on a couple of nights.

Had arranged for an early arrival on our first day but due to accidents and traffic chaos (we were travelling from margate)
We didn't actually get there until 3pm.

Didn't see anybody during our entire stay so purchased some wood burner logs from asda in Newcastle to use in the burner...one had been left for the first night but we needed it on nightly.
Not sure why we didn't see the owners, guessing it was because it was the period between Christmas and New year.

There were 3 Coat hangers in the wardrobe, so most of our stuff went under the bed in the drawers which was fine.

The settle, which was the main seating bit was very uncomfortable with only one cushion and that was what we missed most...after long days walking, we really missed being able to sit somewhere other than the bed to relax.
There were 2 foldup chairs by the table but not really comfortable.

Only made toast and tea in the kitchen area, there was nowhere to put any food away, so you had to leave everything on the small work surface.

So in summary, for a couple of nights, if you're going to be out and about a lot, they are in a lovely peaceful location, close to a lovely pub (the pheasant inn) and tearooms, so would be lovely, personally if you are looking to stay longer, maybe try the larger barn accommodation

Myself and my partner stayed for 2 nights in August and overall had a lovely stay.
We stayed in the 'Woodland View' hut which is tucked out of the way of the barns so nice and secluded and the décor inside was lovely, definitely worth the price! We turned the fire pit outside into a BBQ with grill trays and had the fire burning all night - be prepared that this is a fire pit rather than a BBQ so you need to engineer your own as we did, or bring a disposable with you!
There were only a couple of issues we had in that the underfloor heating wasn't working, the hut was boiling in minutes anyway by using the wood burner or heating, however it would have been nice to use this feature. The lock on the bathroom door was also broken and fell off at the slightest touch.
Finally, the hut could have been a bit cleaner. I do appreciate that it's the middle of the countryside, however when we arrived, we had to sweep all of the grass off the floor and a lot of the dishes were very dirty, I don't feel it was checked and cleaned before we arrived.
Overall, a lovely stay!
