My fiance and I stayed here on our last nights of the trip and it was more than wonderful. It was by far, our favorite bed and breakfast of the five we stayed in. Olwyn was incredibly kind, sweet and very informative about the area and what it had to offer. She offered to look up certain places we were curious about, helped us prioritize what places we want to see in order to make the most of our time, and provided us with directions to everywhere we wanted to go. (even an atm) When we left, she emailed us immediately to let us know that we had accidentally left a shirt behind. The bedroom where we stayed was quite spacious with the most comfortable mattress of the entire trip. It had a breathtaking view of the bay with two windows that allowed the summer sun to pour into the room. It was great. But there were curtains and shades on all the windows so that when we went to bed we could block the light. She was kind enough to provide a space heater in case we were cold, which we never were. It was also the only place we stayed that had good water pressure. After a cold day out, a hot shower was wonderful! The house offers a delightful reading space with books and games. It offers a great opportunity to soak up the sun without going out into the cold. Overall, it may sound weird, but I wish I copy her house's layout. It was a gorgeous home and beautifully decorated to be warm and inviting. From the paint colors to wood work to the staircase, it's just a beautiful home. I really just can't say enough how great the stay was here.

My husband and I just got back from our trip to Ireland and agreed that Ashbrook Lodge was by far our favorite of all of the B&Bs we stayed at. When compared to the other 4 star accommodations we stayed at, this one far surpassed it. Not only was our room spacious and lovely, but we could also look out of our window and watch the sun set over the water. We had very restful sleep as the house was very quiet. It is just a short drive down to the village. Olwyn was such a wonderful host, too. She made us an earlier breakfast when we had an early ferry ride out to the Aran Islands. She even offered to call down to the ticket office for us the night before and offered to dry our clothes once we came back soaked from the rain the next day. You can tell that she really loves what she does and takes great care of her guests. We are so happy that we stayed at Ashbrook Lodge for 2 nights. We would highly recommend it and would certainly stay again if we ever return to Doolin!

We booked into the Ashbrook at short notice and we were hugely impressed. The price is very reasonable for what you get, lovely bright rooms with skylights, bathroom is spotless, and the dining area is very homely. Alwyn is sound and made sure we were well looked after. Only 15 minute walk to McGanns which is grand. The B&B provides torches, walking sticks and hi vis bands for the walk if your concerned about strolling down the little road. For what you are paying you wouldn't find a nicer hotel.

Ashbrook Lodge in Doolin is 9 Km from the Cliffs of Moher and is a delightful B/B run by Olwyn Eagan who serves a great breakfast in a beautiful dining room. A great pub is a few minutes down the road and from Doolin you can begin a trip along the Atlantic coast and the fascinating Burren scenery on the way to Galway

Room tip: All rooms are large en suite
