Simply fantastic!!

I took my partner for his 40th. I had briefly made the hotel aware of what the occasion was. It was a total surprise to my boyfriend.
The instructions for the airport transfer were perfect. They sent a great driver. When we arrived at the hotel, the man in reception was friendly, got our luggage sent to our room. We arrived quite late at night so couldn't appreciate it much. Walked into the room to find a beautifully decorated and clean room with a personalised birthday cake laid out on the bed. It was truly welcoming!
It was when we went for breakfast in the morning we could see that I made the right choice for the hotel. My partner was so took back by it, I got lots of brownie points.... ;@)

Nice clean hotel with clean room. Breakfast ok but not so much to choose from. They overcharge to use the internet. Across the street is a small "traveling agency". They took us for a whole day to see Pala U waterfalls at a cost of 1800 bahts for 2 people, the same price to se Sam Roi Yod National Park a whole day and then they threw in a temple and a nice beach for the same price, nice and cheap! Across the street a bit to the right is a lokal restaruant mostly visited by thais wo cook really good and cheap food. Try! This hotel is a few kilometers from Hua hin but the green buses operate 07.00-21.00 from the small square a bit down the road at your left from the hotel (cross the bridge) and they are a really cheap way to go in to Hua Hin (10 B/pers and 15B after 19.00. The beach is really nice and long if you pass the first restaruant. We used the one next to last to rent sunbeds (50 B/day) and the massage at this place was nice and cheap (300 B/hour)

Had a special deal at this hotel 4 people in 2 rooms evening meal and all mini bar drinks included plus spa.
Room - big room 408 was okay although a little bare, the bath was too big and would have taken at least 1 hour to fill it up to a reasonable level. Evening meal was okay, but a few cheap short cuts taken when preparing the food. Free Bikes on offer to use, is a great idea used them to go to the beach and not a 2 minute walk like another poster suggested.
Breakfast in the morning was okay, the eggs a little under done from my point of view, also no water to drink at breakfast by the time we got there, however it should be easy to refill it. Staff not attentive to the needs and requirements.
The Spa was okay for my wife, the girl there does speak and understand English. The reception staff when I was there were able to speak English really well and they also understood a lot, Car parking was free, and we parked at the back under the hotel and not on the side road.

Room tip: the first floor window on the side where we slept would not have a good view as tree next to the pool block the view from the rooms

One night stay as stopover from our drive from Samui. Simple but nice & comfortable room. Rooms were clean and nicer than expected looking at what you pay (we payed 1800 Bath/night incl. BF). Good value for money! Good size pool with separate area for the kids. Only small complaint: No umbrella's so very hot during midday! Breakfast simple but a nice variety and fresh. Location close to Khao Takieb and 5 min from Hua Hin center. Would stay again for stopover and recommended if you look for something good and well priced!

We stayed at the Napalai Resort guest house very good value booked through Agoda
Pros: Good Location, 2 mins walk to beach
Large modern room with balcony TV and fridge and ensuite
Cons: The receptionist/cleaner speaks very little English - we were 5 days into our stay before we understood that we could have a free "pool pass" at the Napalai just around the corner.
Cleaning of the room was not up to standard
Soundproofing was almost non-existent - for this reason we would not return
