Lovely building, great atmosphere, friendly staff.
We shared a huge bowl of mussels for starters (plenty for two!) Followed by blue cod for main course, which was absolutely delicious. Shared an Eton Mess for dessert. All accompanied by a bottle of the house white, which was very good.
Overall a perfect night out!

Thank Terry P

We were a family of six who booked for lunch mid week without difficulty as we were prepared to sit outside.. We started with bread and dips. Various unusual bread slices and beetroot, pumpkin and pesto dips along with oil with balsamic vinegar started off the meal on a high and raised our expectations of what was to come. I had the venison pie. I highly recommend it and my husband loved the lamb shanks. The other diner who thought their meal excellent had the blue cod in bacon. The others had the fish pie and this was not rated quite so highly. The serving staff were friendly and efficient .The bill for this plus one drink each came to 304nzd.

3 fantastic dinners on 3 nights - quirky atmosphere and great food & service. Spent a few days down here - this time with friends from Auckland that had wanted to come here for a long time - and Fleur and her restaurant topped all their already high expectations!

A friend told us you must go to Fleurs...and we see why. We didn't have a booking but were seated with a friendly smile. The menu consisted of a standard list and a daily special based on what the boats brought in. We had a platter with five fish fillets which were cooked to perfection with lovely lightly steamed vegetables and a couple of tasty sauces. We also tried the fish wrapped in bacon - delicious. Only part of the meal that was a bit of a let down was the seafood chowder - a bit floury and the tomato base lacked depth of flavour.

First up....... book in advance! We we’re staying in Moeraki over Easter weekend and naively thought we could walk-in and get a table for diner, how wrong were we. Fortunately for us they had received a cancellation as I was talking with the staff, after a few moments they asked us to wait for few minutes to make sure they could fit us in, that’s when Fleur arrived, and after a few words with her staff we were seated.

We started by sharing the mussels as a starter, they were divine. They were a good size, not the big fat ones, but smaller juicy ones. We all agreed that if that was the precursor to the mains we’re in for a treat, and we’re weren’t disappointed!

Mains followed, our son ordered the trio of fish, as did my wife, our daughter had the seafood chowder, with a (very large) side order of vegetables. Myself, I had the seafood hotpot. All of the mains were very generous in portion size, and what we feel was value for money.

When the wait staff came to remove our plates she was surprised to see the clean plates, but there was no way we we’re leaving anything behind, even to the point that my wife and daughter both turned down desert. Our comment to the staff when asked if we would like desert was we wanted to savior the flavors of the seafood in our mouths, rather than tainting them with desert, she applauded this.

WE WILL BE BACK!!!
