We have stayed here twice and the house is a lovely base from which to explore Ballybunnion and visit Tralee and Clare. Margaret left us a lovely welcome pack, that made us feel at home, the and the cottage is well equipped. The site is a safe environment for children and we enjoyed our stay.
Situated in quiet cul de sac a lovely bright spacious house with all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. A brisk ten minute walk to the beach/town centre. There are some lovely nature trails and walks in the area with beautiful scenery. There is also a decent sized supermarket in the town (SuperValu), and a selection of restaurants/bars should you wish to take a break from cooking/eating in. The golf course is nearby and while we did not play, we enjoyed lunch in the restaurant which had lovely views of the course and the sea. Margaret is a gracious host who welcomed us with tea and biscuits on our arrival which was greatly appreciated after a long and tiring journey from our original destination. Margaret also very kindly provided us with a bottle of prosecco to celebrate the birthday of my aunt, which was a very lovely gesture. We were very happy with the house and our stay, and I would have loved a second week if it had been possible!
Lovely, will lit property on the outskirts of Ballybunion. All appliances available and in good working order. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac. Plenty of room for all six of us. The hosts were very gracious on our arrival and departure.
Other items to consider.
It is a brisk 15 minute walk to the town centre.
Margaret is great! When we got in from a long trip from Canada the table was set, she has baked us an apple pie, the kettle was boiling and there was a bottle of red wine on the table! What more could you ask for?????? Lovely space, three bedrooms and big kitchen and living area. Close to town and beach. We will be back soon. Thanks, Margaret!
