Owner very good and helpful.
House really well equipped.
Lots of room.
Spotlessly clean. Great time there. Home from home.
This is a lovely house, clean, with good facilities. The views out of every window are breathtaking.
10 minutes walk to the beach, and there is a great walk round the headland - you need to wear sturdy shoes or preferably walking boots, for a bit boggy in places and a few fences to hop over - but well worth the effort. There are hares and lots of choughs as well as herons, ring necked plovers, meadow pipits by the hundred, and gannets diving in the sea.
Ardara is 4 miles away and has good cafes and basic supermarkets. There is a very good super value in kille begs.
Highly recommended house for a relaxing week, thank you Sean.
Perfect cottage and location with amazing scenery and great hospitality! Will definitely be back, thank you Sean!

What a fantastic house and truly beautiful location. Spectacular views from every window. This cosy and extremely well looked after holiday home is close to beaches, walking routes and the bustling town of Ardara. Plenty of room for the dog to run around too! I can't recommend it highly enough. Sean was a very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly host. We will definitely be back.
About 15mins from Ardara near the end of the Loughross Peninsula with views of the bays on both sides and of the Slievetooey mountains. There is a sandy/rocky beach a couple of minutes away by car - great for the early morning walk for our four lurchers, yes 4, which Sean kindly allowed to stay.
The cottage has been modernised/enlarged to a high standard. The tv receives Uk/Irish programmes and the oil heating is very efficient.
We were very comfortable here and definitely recommend the cottage to anyone who is interested in visiting the local beaches for swimming etc or for walking in the hills. We swam at Narin (Portnoo) , Glen Bay (Glencolumcille), "Silver Strand" at Malin Beg and at Fintragh Bay (Killybegs) . The Gulf Stream keeps the water temp. up.
Do drive the road on the other side of Loughros Beg Bay and see Maghera Strand (sands) and the sea caves ; swimming dangerous here though. Drive on to An Port on the coast; great swimming in the bay ( no sand) and well worth a walk up to the top of the hill to look over the cliffs.
Talking of cliffs, if you go on a longer trip north to Burtonport and take the regular car ferry to Arranmore Island, do drive out to Rinawros Point (lighthouse/old coastguard station). Walk for a bit up the grass to the right of the lighthouse and you'll find some magnificent cliff views. Also, opposite the coastguard station ,walk to the cliff edge and you'll see 150 steps going down to the cove . Fascinating , hidden gem.
Finally the cottage is a great base for Killybegs and its trawler fleet and, of course, the Slieve League cliffs. See these from the designated car park or take the trouble to climb the Pilgrim's Path ( signposted from Teelin) for a couple of hours to bring you out above these renowned cliffs.
Or simply explore the woollen/tweed shops of Ardara and enjoy the regular music the town has to offer in the evenings.
