The cottage was incredibly well equipped, extremely homely and in a beautiful setting. We cannot fault it at all. We were sad to leave but will definitely be back! A perfect escape for a few days

What a gorgeous little cottage. Exactly what we needed to explore Donegal. After walking all day we sat and enjoyed drinks by the fire. Perfect!

“Lovely, peaceful cottage”
Reviewed 20 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

My husband and I stayed in the cottage at the end of September with our friend as part of a trip along the Wild Atlantic Way. As other reviewers have said it was lovely to be away from the electronic age for a few days and enjoy the peace and quiet. The night sky was wonderful too!

Here is a cottage in a peaceful spot with fabulous views., very close to stunning beaches and village life.
From the moment we stepped through the door we felt extremely happy and impressed. The cottage opens into a rustic welcoming family kitchen which is indeed the hub of the cottage. Colette has furnished the cottage beautifully and it is quite simply charming!
The kitchen is so well equipped, everything is spotless and new, she has exceeded all expectations.
We felt priveledged to have been invited to stay, in such beautiful surroundings, so cosy and warm, lighting the fire and candles in the evening, reading her many books, if you are looking for romance here it is!

“Cozy cottage in a wonderfully wild landscape”

Unplugged for a week - brilliant. There is no phone, wifi, internet, or even mobile reception at this cottage. You wouldn't want there to be.

Located in a high, broad, valley near the top of a pass, the landscape is beautiful and wild - boggy hill-sides randomly punctuated by sheep. Over the course of a week we must have experienced over 40 types of rain, 10 types of wind, and 5 types of sunshine.

The cottage is cozy - a perfect refuge when the wind is howling and the rain falls horizontally. Baking and board games made the time fly by.

The location is ideally suited for driving around this part of Donegal. The vistas from the small local roads were stunning. And those roads lead to some beautiful beaches - worth visiting even on a grey day.
